Jamies Perspective

I slept surprisingly well last night. We got up at 6am today. 'Gotta open the store at 9am and we still have to do some final decoration before we open to pulic.

Dani is making coffee for both of us at the moment. She used to be pretty terrible at it, but I may have taught her a little bit about it. Her coffee is still not great but it's drinkable at least, and practice makes perfect.

"Jamie!" Dani yelled from the kitchen "Are you dressed yet? We've gotta get to the shop to finish everything. I made coffee we can drink there."

"Coming!" I finished buttoning up my blouse, put on my boots and went to the kitchen. Dani looked at me and smiled.

"Wow, you look amazing." She said. I smiled "So do you, Poppins"

"Are you ready for the big day?" She asked. "I think I am." I answered. " But I think we should get going now." I grabbed some of the plants I was keeping in our flat to take care of and started heading downstairs with Dani right behind me.

The store is just underneath our flat, it has really large windows facing the street and hopefully capturing the attention of the people walking by. I unlocked the door and started putting the plants from upstairs on display.

Eventually it was 8:30 and we had finished decorating the whole store. We even hung up some posters around town to inform people about the shop. I was relaxed, but deep inside I was still worried that no one would come. My whole life I've just kind of been rejected and ignored so I just wanted to get this one thing right and maybe even get a bit of praise for it.

"So... what are we gonna do for the next 30 minutes?" I asked Dani, who was sitting behind the desk with the cash register and everything else. "I have and idea." she replied and took my hand. I knew what was about to happen.

She took me to the back of the store, where we keep some of our flowers and fertilizer. Suddenly, she pushed me onto the wall and started kissing me passionately. I could feel the serotonin flushing through my body. With her, every kiss felt like out first.

We continued kissing for a while, until she suddenly pulled away. At first I was worried until I realized she was just teasing me. Her lips were so close to mine , that I was desperate to kiss her, but she didn't let me.

Finally, I had enough. I spun her around, so that she was now pushed against the wall. I kissed her neck and slowly trailed up to her lips and eventually started kissing them again. A slight whimper escaped her lips when I stopped kissing her.

"Gotta get back to the store" I said while grinning "it's nearly nine am"

"Fine" She replied, her cheeks were still red and I could tell she wanted to do other things than go back to the store. I gave her one quick peck and started going back to the front of the shop.

"Wanna open now?" Dani asked. "Sure" I replied "You can have the honor of unlocking the door."

"Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded. She walked to the door and unlocked it and turned the sign that signalized we were closed around, so that it now said open. She looked at me and took my hand while we waited for our first customers.

It was probably quarter past nine when our first customer came in. It was a rather old lady, maybe in her sixties. She told us that she needed an arrangement for her husbands grave. I had already made one similar to what she wanted to put on display, so I altered it a little bit and she was really happy with it. She thanked us when she left and told us she would let some friends know about our shop.

When she left I was so happy. I could make someone happy with doing something I love and it made me feel accomplished.

Dani was happy too and that made me happy. We created this together and it feels great to accomplish something like this with someone you love.

Throughout the rest of the day, quite a few customers came in. Some asked for just a few roses, others wanted large arrangements. All in all, it was a successful day.

When it was time to close, we watered some plants and then decided to go out for dinner to celebrate our first day. We went to an italian restaurant around the corner. We probably had a couple glasses too much wine, but on the way back home I told Dani that I loved her. I don't know if it was too early but I for sure know that I meant.

I didn't put too much dialogue in this part so would you want more or less of that? Feedback and votes mean the world to me. Also, how often do you want me to update the story?
