Back to Flowershop time

Dani's perspective

We've really gotten into a routine the last few weeks. The flowershop has been doing really well. All kinds of people come in everyday. Boyfriends looking for flowers for their girlfriends, daughters looking for presents for their parents, everything you could imagine really.

It is a little stressful, getting up early and staying in the store till quite late. The sun also is starting to rise late and setting early, so that it's always dark when we're home.

It kind of has a cozy vibe though. We can bundle up with hot chocolate, which is honestly the only beverage I can make, and watch movies or listen to music. We bought a new record player when we moved here and Jamie had a couple old records so now we listen to them on a regular basis.

"Poppins" Jamie exclaimed to me on one of our hot chocolate nights "I reckon I'll make the hot chocolate tonight. How about you get the record player going?"

"Sure" I responded. I was quite happy that I didn't have to make the hot chocolate tonight, as I was really quite tired. So I got one of our favorite records from the cabinet and turned it on.

Jamie was boiling some milk but when she heard the song, she grinned at me and came towards me from behind the stove.

She took my hand and spun me around. We danced for a bit and ended up slowly moving from side to side while embracing each other in a close hug.

"Jamie!" I suddenly shouted "The milk!"

"Goddamnit!" She yelled while running towards the stove on which the milk was just about to bubble over the edge of the pot. "Phew, that was definetly a close call."

"Yes it was" I agreed while putting cocoa powder into our mugs. Once Jamie had poured in the milk I grabbed both of them and put them onto the living room table. I fetched some blankets and turned on the TV.

We started skipping through the channels and ended up finding a movie to watch. My head was leaning on Jamies shoulder and our feet were entangled.
I felt the warmth of her body radiate onto mine. My eyes slowly closed, as I was exhausted from the long day.

Suddenly I heard Jamie's voice "Poppins, wake up! Let's get to bed" I slowly opened my eyes to see Jamie's face.

She was slowly stroking my face and then grabbed my hand. "Come on, the bed is way more comfortable."

She pulled me up from the couch and I followed her to our bedroom. I quickly put on my pyjamas and layed down, Jamie doing the same.

"Goodnight hun" she said, while giving me kiss on the forehead.

"Goodnight" I replied but I wasn't satisfied with the kiss. I gently grabbed her face and slowly gave her a delicate kiss on the lips. I could feel her mouth turning into a smile while she kissed me back.

"Okay, really good night now." She chuckled while slowly releasing from the kiss. "Sleep tight"

I already knew I was going to.

I always sleep well with Jamie.

Okay this chapter is a little short, but I think it's cute.
