Suddenly (Bede x Reader)

Into the cave

(Y/n) laughs as Zacian and the legendary Galarian birds interacted happily. It was cute and they got along swimmingly. She continues to watch and laugh happily. Then there was a knock at the door. She gets up and jogs to the door. She opens it and her smile widens. It was Bede. He had his arms behind his back, a small smile on his face. Beside him was Hatterene who was also smiling.

"Hey, Bede. What brings you to my little town?" She greets

He doesn't give a verbal response. Instead he presented a small box from behind his back. She blushes red and takes it. She stares at it for a moment then opens it. It was a silver ring, with several diamond roses on it. She looks at him, awestruck and blushing. He laughs a little.

"I thought it'd be a nice gift for you." He says

She blinks a couple times then smiles sheepishly.

"A little too nice." She says

"Nonsense, there's nothing too nice for you."

She blushes a little more, still smiling letting out a nervous chuckle. She didn't have anything to say to the platinum blond's comment. So instead she plucks the ring from the box and slips it on to her finger. The diamond sparkle beautiful as she did so.

"You came all this way to give me this. I could've gone to you instead." She says

"It wouldn't have made much of difference."

"Why's that?" She tilts her head confusedly

Hatterene's smile grew. The psychic fairy was very obviously excited. She nudges Bede with her claws gently, silently encouraging him. He looks to her and they nod to each other in agreement. He takes and deep breath.

"Would you go on date with me, (Y/n)?" He asks

The look on his face is a mixture of hopeful, and sheepishness. A vivid pink huge having spread across his face. It was cute. His eyes focused in on her eyes. He was looking for any signs of abstinence. Meanwhile Hatterene waited in anticipation.

"Wow, I never expected this from you. But... Yeah, I'd love to!" She says, giving him a big closed eye smiles

Hatterene explodes into a fit of happy noises while Bede processed what he just heard. Then he smiles as well.

"Great! Meet me in Galar mine 1 tonight. You're going to love what I have to show you." He says gleefully

"Can do!" She agrees cheerfully

He plants a kiss on her cheek then turns and leaves. Hatterene quickly flashes her a grin before following her trainer. (Y/n) giggles then closes the door. She turns to see Zacian staring. Of course it held it's stoic expression, but she could see it's tail wagging behind it. Being a fairy type it knew exactly what was happening.

"He didn't give me a specific time, so maybe like 6 or 7 o'clock tonight. What do you think?" She asks

Zacian howls in approval.

"Well we've got time in that case. So let's just relax for a while." She laughs a little and Zacian howls again

6:30 hits and (Y/n) enters Galar mine 1. She was wearing a tank top with frills, a fluffy sweater, tights, and flats with her hair in a ponytail. A simple yet nice outfit. She looks around as she walked further into the mine, wondering where Bede is and if she was too late. About halfway through she spotted him.

He was wearing his original outfit. After seeing him in his fairy type attire for so long, it was kinda odd but certainly welcome. She smiles and jogs over to him catching his attention as she did so.

"Hey, sorry if I'm late." She apologizes

"You're not. In fact you're early." He says smiling

"That's good to hear. I've heard being late for a date isn't exactly a good thing." She says

He chuckles and gestures for her to follow. They walk a bit further ahead. The very familiar environment bringing back lots of memories. Bede stops in front of a large hole in the cave wall. A new path having been made, this one descending downward steadily. (Y/n) stares into the darkness up ahead. A sense of hesitation building within her.

"Is... Is this safe?" She asks looking to him

Bede pulls a flashlight from one of his pocket, then holds his hand up for her to take.

"Just trust me, alright?" He asks

"Alright." She responds taking his hand

Turning on the flashlight he begins down the path with her.
