Alycia's POV
3 weeks later...
"So far we've only got a few names, a woman by the name of Alycia tyre is one although it's a good lead it's been misleading. Neighbors said they heard a disturbance on the night in question but no one has came forward about these allegations. If you see anything suspicious or know something please call the LAPD. That's all for today" the news person said before I flipped to another channel
"Their not finding these boys" I said while feeding Omari his bottle
"And how do you know that" Davonte said
"Please we're all the way New York City I doubt their gonna find these boys now being that we're a little off the radar" I said
Davonte nodded his head while the other two boys crawled around on the floor playing with the few toys they did have. Of course me and Davonte did a lot to cover this up so that it doesn't get out to anyone, we moved to New York City obviously. We try not to leave the house at the same time so we won't be seen with the boys because that'll blow things for us so he'll leave during the day just to go to the market and get stuff for all of us to eat. I'll leave every once in a while when he's watching the boys, I've also gotten me and Davonte New York City drivers licenses just in case one of us gets pulled over down here it won't link to the missing boys
"Alright so here's yours. Your name is Derek Reynolds and if anyone asks your my boyfriend and their father" i said referring to the boys
"Oh and what about you huh" Davonte asked
"I'm Sophia Jacobs" I said
"Oh alright" Davonte said
"Whatever you do don't tell anyone your real name, where your really from if they ask why your in New York City just say you lived in San Francisco but your out here helping your mom who's really ill" I said
"And what're you gonna say" Davonte asked
"I was living in Texas moved to San Francisco and I met you. We started dating a few years back and I decided to move with you to New York City so you could be closer to your mom and your kids" I said
"Alright" Davonte said
Mia's POV
"I can't believe you would let something like this happen" I said to Nahmir as we all sat in my moms living room trying to piece things together. The cops said they haven't had any leads yet but they'll keep us posted if any new information comes along
"I'm sorry alright I didn't mean for this shit to happen" Nahmir said putting his head in his hands
"Alright guys quit fighting, this isn't about you guys it's about finding my nephews. Now I need some names— think of anyone who might've had it out for you too and wanted revenge this doesn't seem like a harmless prank you two someone obviously didn't like the both of you for some reason so they thought that taking your kids away would be a way to hurt you both" my mom said
I nodded my head and started thinking of all the people
"What about Davonte" I said
"Honey why would Davonte do something like this, he doesn't seem like the type to do it" my mom said
"I believe he would mom. Remember our very heated and messy break up back when I was in the 10 grade— and then he tried to contact me when I was in 11th begging me to take him back I didn't mean to embarrass him but I told him loudly no in front of everyone who was in the hallway that day" I said
"Yeah I do honey but that's a really dumb reason to kidnap my grand babies" my mom said
"I know mom, I'm gonna get to the bottom of this. I want my boys back and I'm not gonna stop until I get them back safe and sound they need their mother" I said tearing up a little bit
"Awe it's gonna be okay honey I promise I'm gonna do everything in my power to find them and we're gonna bring them home and put those bastards behind bars" my mom said hugging me
Nahmir's POV
I feel like a complete dick for lying to Mia like this of course I know Alycia was the one who took the boys I didn't say anything because well a part of me wanted the boys out of my life so that everything in my career could go back to normal and plus I haven't told any of my fans that I have kids and I didn't wanna mess that up. I need to leave I don't want them getting suspicious and start asking me questions
"So are there any new leads, I wanna know where they at" I said
"No Nicholas there aren't any new leads it's like they evaporated into thin air or something. I've went by the police station a dozen times already and they've given me the same response 'no new witnesses have came forward yet and we don't know the whereabouts behind Alycia tyre so we have no one to question— dead end" miss Bennett said
I figured they wouldn't have any new leads just wanted to spark some conversation see if I could get any answers but I didn't
"Alright, Mia I'm gonna head on home see if I can find anything that the detectives might've missed and try to see if that helps. I wanna find our boys if it's the last thing I do" I said standing up
"Okay. Get home safe and please call me when you get there Nahmir I need to know your safe at all times" Mia said kissing my cheek
I nodded before heading outside to my car and leaving
