Mia's POV
I stared at Nahmir not knowing if he was being genuine or not but as much as I hate him I'm not a bitter baby mother and I'm not gonna keep a guy away from his kids
"Fine. You can start by helping me with the finishing touches on their nursery's. The girls are gonna watch them for the night while we finish off their rooms" I said
Nahmir nodded his head before I texted Christian telling him that they could come back in
"You good" Christian said kissing my cheek
"Yeah I'm fine. Uh my friends are gonna watch the boys for the night" I said
"Oh okay. You need me to help you with anything" Christian said
"No not right this moment can you go and get my discharge papers as well as the kids papers too. Oh and the birth certificates" I said
"Yeah I gotchu" Christian said leaving
"Can I sign" Nahmir said
"What you mean" I said
"The birth certificates, listen I know I fucked up pretty bad but looking at those boys there's no denying that their mine. I already missed the first nine months of their lives wouldn't wanna miss anything else" Nahmir said
I nodded my head letting him know that he could sign their birth certificates when Christian bought the papers back into the room
Nahmir's POV
"Alright, please be careful Mia and call me if anything happens" Christian said before going to his car
"Homeboy need to chill out you safe" I said
"Hush he cares that's all" Mia said
"Nah, he likes you" I said
"What— no he doesn't, your just saying that" Mia said
"It's written all over his face every time he's around you. I know homeboy wanted to kiss you on the lips earlier but instead he kissed your cheek, and besides he ain't taking you anyways" I said
"And why is that" Mia said
"Because your MINE even though I fucked up you gonna be mine forever" I said grabbing her hand
"Mhmm that's nice what you can do is be a father to those boys in the car seats" Mia said
I looked in the rear view mirror as they were all sound asleep
"Yeah I know don't remind me" I said
"It wasn't a reminder it was a promise, a promise that no matter what we go through you won't walk out on them" Mia said
"Nah I'm not doing that, I made the biggest mistake months ago when I left you alone and pregnant. I love you Mia and that ain't ever gonna change, we in this together remember that now let's drop the kids off and then finish up their nursery's" I said as I made my way to laila's house since she's watching the boys along with Taylor and kailah
Mia's POV
"Alright here's their diaper bags, Ohaji's is the navy blue one, Omari's is the mint green one and Orion's is the teal one" I said to the girls
"Girl trust us we got this, y'all go enjoy yourselves and finish off our nephews rooms and Nahmir you better not hurt my best friend" Laila said putting her finger in Nahmir face
"Girl he knew better, he know what happened last time but we ain't in a relationship we're just taking care of the kids that's our main focus right now" I said
Nahmir looked as if he was thinking but I obviously didn't think much of it. After Laila and Taylor took the boys, Nahmir helped me bring their bags inside setting them on the couch.
"Alright I'll probably be back tomorrow or Monday to get them, depends on how long it takes to finish their rooms" I said
"Take all the time you need I've been tryna spend time with my nephews for the longest" Kailah said chiming in
Huh, I guess they haven't seen the boys since I got out of the hospital almost three days ago
Nahmir's POV
"Alright so I was thinking that for all of their rooms we could put their names on the wall with these letters above the changing table and have all of their stuff matching their baby bags" Mia said
I heard her of course but all I could think about was how pretty she looked. She looked good and I can't believe I actually let that walk out of my life
"Nahmir" Mia said
"Huh" I said as she snapped her fingers in my face
"I was talking to you Nahmir, you didn't hear me tell you to put Ohaji's name up" Mia said
"Nah, my bad" I said grabbing the letters out of her hands and nailing them to the wall above his changing table
She nodded her head before putting the last touches onto his crib
"Listen, I'm really sorry about what happened months ago I'll admit I was in the wrong head space and I shouldn't have dipped out on you like that, can you ever forgive me— I love you Mia and that ain't never gonna change just please give me another chance" I said
"I'm tired of being hurt by you Nahmir, not only were you stepping out on me while we we're together but you were lying to me and you were lying about where you were half the time don't forget that" Mia said
"And I won't just let me make this better Mia please that's all I'm asking" I said
"I think it's time for you to go Nahmir, I'll see you tomorrow so we can finish up Omari's room and after that you can the boys whenever you feel like it I guess" Mia said
I sighed deeply before leaving, I know I fucked up i just wish that she'd actually see that I've changed and that I regret the decisions I've made. I love her and I don't wanna let that go but I have to accept that I lost her and it sucks
