Like Romeo and Juliet (Merthur)

Night had passed and the ball was over, however, neither prince came back the night before.

In the meadow laid both princes huddled together in deep sleep. They spent the night before talking about themselves, successfully avoiding revealing their titles.

The first to rise was the raven headed prince since the sun rays hit his face. When he turned around he noticed someone's face was buried in his neck. They had blonde hair. Suddenly the events of the night before came to him. He also noticed that sometime during the night the masks went off.

Wanting to see the man's face he tried to wake him. "Arthur... ARtur..." the blonde just groaned and held him closer. "RISE AND SHINE"

Arthur awoke with a start trying to reach for something, maybe a sword, and tried to see where the danger was. He looked disoriented, he didn't recognize these woods. When he looked beside him it took him a minute to realize who the man next to him was . He didn't have a mask on. "Merlin?"

"Good morning, dollophead" Merlin said while laughing at his reaction and soon stood up from the ground dusting off some leaves. Arthur took a closer look at Merlin. The mask and the poor light had hidden how sharp his cheekbones were last night. He also couldn't help but notice how he seemed to be glowing with the morning sunlight reflecting off him. He must have been caught starring because he noticed Merlin's pale skin become pink. When Merlin looked up they made eye contact and Arthur breath got caught in his throat when he saw the same eyes that captivated him last night stare right back at him.

Arthur cleared his throat and looked away after sometime. "So um... yesterday was.. fun" he mumbled. "Even when Crimson puked on you?" Laughed Merlin while the blonde grimaced at the memory. "Mm. Again, thank you for cleaning my shirt".  "Well we couldn't have you smelling so foul now could–" EMRYS a voice spoke inside the warlocks head. "Merlin?" The blonde noticed the raven head zoning out randomly.

Mer: Modred? What's wrong?

Mo: Where are you Emrys? Everyone's looking for you.

Mer: I'm okay. I'll be back soon.

Mo: Hurry

"..lin! Merlin!" Arthur kept calling his name. He seemed to hone in a trance. "Huh?" Was the warlocks reply. Arthur felt relief when he was responsive again. "What do you mean 'huh'? You were out of it for like two minutes! You okay?" Merlin shook his head yes.

"I'm okay. I was just talking to Modred". Arthur looked at him like he finally lost it then Merlin realized he needed to explain himself. "I can talk to other magic users telepathically" Arthur frowned in confusion before slowly nodding. "I see.. what did he want?"

"Modred? Oh it's just I hadn't told anyone where I'd go before leaving with you" this made Arthur realize that he also hadn't told anyone he was leaving. Oh his knights must be worried. "We should go back" although he dreaded leaving Merlin soon he knew he needed to go back. "How about we have breakfast first?" Merlin suggested before giving Arthur the biggest puppy eyes he's seen.

He knew the knights must be worried but his wanted to stay longer with the beautiful sorcerer he met yesterday. "Okay but we're going back afterwards".

Merlin gave him a beaming smile and went out to get their breakfast while he ordered Arthur to get the firewood. To think he's ordering me around, thought Arthur while grabbing firewood and keeping an eye on Merlin. When he had a good stack he came back to see Merlin holding two rabbits.

How did he get them? We don't have weapons... right. Magic.

They soon ate the breakfast Merlin prepared while sitting next to each other on a log. "It's really delicious, Merlin" the boy smiled his way and went back to eating. He must be a peasant to know how to cook, Arthur told himself.

I must be going insane, thought Arthur to himself after the idea that maybe Merlin could come back to Camelot with him crossed his mind.

Arthur turned to Merlin who was giving him a goofy smile while telling him a story about a friend of his, 'Gwaine', which made his heart suddenly speed up. Definitely insane.
