Ch.13 - Vociferous
The sun had hit it's peak of the day as its rays shone down making the earth very lurid, especially with glass skyscrapers which reflected the blinding rays. The black car drove down the roads it already had earlier in the day, when the sun hadn't risen. One girl was muddy, yet sleeping in tranquillity as the car's humming engine rocked her further into a deep sleep.
The car drove down the road swiftly, making the road go by in a blur. The day was still young, it only being 12pm if that, though 60 people had already completed their day, 2 in particular having a rivalled success. While both were in different cars and locations all together, both were unknowingly sleeping peacefully- they were both drained, for now.
For Katsumi, even though she'd spent all of her day so far running, she had club practice bright and early on a Monday morning tomorrow; lovely. According to the car's directions, the family in the car would be home by 3pm.
The drive back was one through the vibrant country-side, the passengers of the car seeing things now in the light that they couldn't in the early morning dark. There were miles of fields containing crops, flowers or simply grass. There were tall, looming trees growing along-side of the road creating a special feeling passageway that only they could travel through, it was magical. Though Katsumi was in the land of dreams during all of this, Hikari was on her phone doing god knows what.
Seeing as everyone in the car was distracted, the drive seemed to pass rather quickly- the current time being 2:57pm- who doesn't love being early? Aki stopped the car in the driveway and began to unload the things in there, Hikari was left with the job of waking Katsumi- which is an honourable task in her opinion.
Hikari didn't want to get muddy however, meaning she couldn't jump in her younger sister- sad times. So she just vociferously shook Katsumi as if Katsumi was about to miss a race of her favourite runner. In response, Katsumi sat up in a daze, being in that state of not quite knowing what's going on. Hikari was slightly disappointed at her unfazed reaction and walked out of the car and made a beeline to the fridge. Katsumi's mom came of to her and began to explain some things.
"So as you know you are lathered in mud, that's a problem. So you're gonna take off you're shoes and go straight to the downstairs shower, okay?" Aki explained
"But my bandages." Katsumi replied
"Oh shit yeah, am I gonna have to bathe you?" Aki asked in a joking tone
"Well I hope not." Katsumi said, getting out the car with her mom shutting the door behind her.
Katsumi took off her shoes at the door an did as told, and went to the down stairs shower. Thank god all the mud was dried seeing as none of it got on the floor. Katsumi locked herself in the bathroom and ran a warm bath, as the bath began to fill up, Katsumi peeled off her muddy clothes and got in the bath when it was full. She managed to hover her legs and put then of the sides of the bath in order for them not to get soaked, then she began the almighty task of scrubbing dirt off of her body.
That was a challenge.
Turns out mud can and will get on anything and go anywhere, even in your ear; and washing it out of your hair, don't even get me started. Though Katsumi managed to scrub all the dirt off of her successfully.
She got out of the bath and immediately bundled up in warm clothes, nice.

It was now Monday morning, and remembering the schedule for Mondays, all 15 athletes were freezing at 6 in the morning. All of them standing in the middle of the track, 6 tired from yesterday's events. Turns out Katsumi and Bakguo were the only ones that got hurt from the cross country, the rest only getting muddy.
