三十三 - Delight

Ch.33 - Delight

At this point, the teachers had given up on trying to quieten the students. It hadn't even been ten seconds, the forty students were creating and uproar.

Mina launched herself on to Katsumi, hugging her. Mina was truly ecstatic for her friend, knowing that she had earned it. Katsumi was in a state of shock, she and Katsuki had constantly been convincing themselves they were going; and now that was true which felt surreal.

On the other hand Kirishima was the person to give Katsuki a bro-hug, him calling Katsuki "so manly". Katsuki felt the same as Katsumi, like this would be an unreal experience. No wonder Hana was very loud about her experience of finding out.

Katsumi hugged Mina back, and Mina freaked out because Katsumi showed some sort of affection.

"GUYS SHE HUGGED ME!" I guess Mina won that title then. The boys of 1A were congratulating Katsuki, as all the girls had kind of jumped onto Katsumi leaving them no chance to get to her.

Though, it was inevitable that both Katsumi and Katsuki kept eye contact. They were going, and what made it better was that they were going together.

Within the time that the two classes were together, Katsumi, Katsuki, Kendo and Tetsutetsu had briefly introduced each other; I mean, it is essential to know who you'll be competing with. They seemed like nice people, though it was obvious that they were much more charismatic than the duo.

Though now, the two classes had separated, and now Aizawa was back to rambling on about summer. If Katsumi was able to, she would be jumping up and down in excitement; in a similar fashion to her close friend.

Katsuki might not have done that per se, but he was pretty chuffed. For a second, when he was told the news, his gut told him to go and hug Katsumi, but his pride told him no. Katsumi was about to do what he had wanted to, but being pounced on was the only thing stopping her. Even thinking of those reactions is very out of character for the duo, maybe only happening with family or very close friends; does that make them very close friends?

Oh what could have been in that moment. Though they were glad it turned out as it did, they shared a silent message, and that was good enough for them.

"Bakugo, Saino, there will be an email sent to you containing the details. It should about be details about location, when you need to be here so we can leave, and what to bring." Aizawa briefly explained.

Both Katsumi and Katsuki nodded their heads in understanding as Aizawa continued to conclude his daily morning speech.

Seeing as Hikari had gone to nationals two years ago, she and Katsumi knew about most things that would happen. One of those things was the UA dinner. What it is, is a dinner for all 87 staff and pupils from UA at a fancy restaurant. It was only the people who went to nationals though, and it had a reputation of being one of the best. During this dinner, there would be awards give out from UA to their athletes based on different factors.

One problem, the dress code was formal. Katsumi took pride in the fact that she didn't own a dress, well, there's an obvious problem. Well, Katsumi had faith that the second she would tell Hikari she was going, Hikari would shove at least one thousand dresses in her face.

Both Katsuki and Katsumi were distracted by their minds going 1000 miles a minute, thinking of what nationals might be like and what it would be like to break the three year tie with Shiketsu. The endless thoughts caused them to not pay their full attention to their English class, but all they were doing was reviewing the exam- which Katsumi did rather well in according to her.
