Ch.41 - Embarking Towards What Is To Come
The day seemed rather unforgiving thus far, and to add onto this, it was only 8:30am. To begin with, the weather today was rain, though the clouds that shaded the sky seemed to be passing onwards. Though this still left a cold moisture in the air, one that wasn't to pleasing.
What led up to this however was much worse than just some rain. The week of extra training had only gotten more intense, though luckily for Katsumi, she didn't get sent to the barrel again. Katsumi would've even gone as far as saying that Tsuyo sensei had warmed up to this year's first years. This told Katsumi all she needed to know, he was really a big softie on the inside, and a tough guy on the outside; a personality she could easily link with another male.
As said in the email, Katsumi saw students around school grounds wearing their own clothes. Katsumi was never the type to feel self conscious about what she wore, a gift she didn't know she possessed. She was wearing black leggings and a big enough sweatshirt, she wasn't the only one. It was no joke that the students going to nationals would be travelling most of the day, and who ever gets comfortable in any type of jeans? No one. It was a very reoccurring theme, most everyone was wearing chill clothes.
What another challenge was, packing. Normally Katsumi would be fine with any type of packing, but now she had to try and fit a dress in her suitcase, and at the same time not damage the silky fabric. Though once again, her 'saviour' as she claimed herself came to help. Hikari, having done this type of thing many times before managed to do it. All Katsumi could think about was, how?
Though what was most interesting was Katsumi and Katsuki being the only ones in normal clothes in their class. They were 'special' and therefore the amount of times Mina asked Katsumi to borrow her sweat-shirt was astronomical. Though Katsumi always declined, sometimes not in the most kind way.
The first half of the day was entertaining, meanly because not much was being taught. Katsumi -even if she was sat at the front of the class- would just read her book in the lesson. The reason? Well, lots of staff members were helping out with last minute things for nationals, this meant that movies were being played.
Katsumi and Katsuki were permitted to leave their English class at 11, the reason for this being that they needed an early lunch. As the two strolled down the hallways to lunch, they saw a few others leaving for their lunch, though didn't see their other team companions. That was when an ingenious idea struck Katsumi, and her plan was in action with out telling Katsuki.
As the duo walked past the class 1-B door, she knocked on it like she was trying to punch a man. In her mind, she was going to pass it off as the two needing to leave for lunch, but Katsuki's mind and her mind were not connected.
"What are you doing idiot?!" Katsuki whisper shouted. From inside the door she heard a muffled "Come in." and opened the door.
Katsumi saw that there was no teacher and the students were being somehow civilised and watching a movie.
"Can you two-" Katsumi was cut off by one rude boy in particular, and it was not the one standing next to her.
"So class 1A thinks they're so superior that they can crash our lesson and make us look bad! Honestly I think everyone knows at this point how superior class 1B is." Monoma's rambling was cut short when Kendo karate chopped him in the neck, exactly in the spot that knocks someone out.
"Sorry about him ,Saino, what did you guys need?" Kendo asked, trying to make up for the male's rudeness.
"Well, I was gonna say that us four need to go to lunch now so we can make it on time." Katsumi said, walking off as she heard the shuffling of chairs.
