You dreaded getting out of bed that morning.

Jiraiya's words had haunted you for the rest of the night.

You could barely even sleep properly, which worried Zoko, so he held you close to comfort you.

It helped. But it reminded you of the time you had laid with Kakashi to comfort him, and your heart instantly sank, because you knew it didn't feel the same.

Your party had gathered in the lobby by the time you had gotten there.

You were surprised they had even decided to wait for you, seeing as you took your sweet time to bath, get ready, and say your goodbyes to Yoai(especially to Zoko).

They were all talking to each other, but the only person you even bothered to say a formal 'good morning' to, was Jiraiya.

You missed your students a lot. All your conversations and laughs. It hurt you. But there was nothing you could do. They had shown you clearly whose side they were on yesterday. You wouldn't bother trying to play the fool.

"Glad you could make it on time
(Y/N)." Kakashi said, causing Lady Xi to giggle.

Your eyes narrowed before you smiled a petty smile.

"Sorry. I saw a black cat and had to take the other way." You shrugged.

You could've sworn you heard faint giggles from your students.

"We're in an inn." He said.

"Oh well, it's not like I'm the only one who comes late." You said.

Jiraiya cleared his throat to stop the both of you from throwing more shade than necessary.

"Let's get on the road, shall we? We have to get her Ladyship to her home." He said.

"Right." You said, and turned on your heel, leading the way. Not bothering to look back.

Had you done so, you would've noticed the flash of dismay on Kakashi's face.

You had finally made it to the Xi household after hours of a tiring walk and even more tiring bickering with Kakashi about which direction to take.

The house was huge and very traditional. Even the servants that littered around wore very exquisite, fancy clothing.

"Wow..." Sakura marvelled at the looks of the place.

"I bet they have a bunch of ramen here!" Naruto said.

"Tch. You both are so uncultured." Sasuke rolled his eyes in annoyance. He felt like he was surrounded by idiots. Except for you.

He missed the intelligent conversation he had with you. You knew just what to say, how to lift his spirits, and even, on some occasions, make him laugh. But he couldn't talk to you yet. No. He had promised not to. It was unfortunate, really. How long would this go on?

"Lady Xi has finally returned!" A servant with a sweet smile greeted you all by bowing.

Jiraiya smirked at her and you stepped on his foot. She had to be younger than you.

The servant and a few other household staff guided you into the house and sat you outside in a fancy Pavillion.

A few moments later, a very traditionally dressed couple walked in.

They both looked fairly young and their clothes dripped with expensive ornaments, especially the woman.

They both bowed curtly.

"Arigato. Thank you for bringing our precious daughter home. We will reward you handsomely. Please allow us to serve you tea and offer you a place to stay for the night, and some fresh clothes, as a form of hospitality." The man said.

You all bowed, and everything seemed peaceful until Lady Xi stepped in and pushed you forward.

You gave a confused look. You figured she was about to spill the beans about you "pushing her into the water" now.

However, instead, she made you raise your head and her parents gasped in shock.

You have a confused look, as did your teammates.

"It's her!!"

You gulped, still confused.

The woman walked up to you and held your chin, examining your face from your eyes to your nose, lips, and chin before spinning you around.

"It truly is you. We've really found you!"

You backed away, finally finding your will to speak.

"What?" You asked.

"You don't remember? Oh goodness. I imagine so, you've been gone for so long. How did we not see you in the leaf village?" The man said.

"What is going on!?"

"Don't tell me you don't remember us...You do remember us, right?" The woman asked.

"(Y/N), what's happening?" Jiraiya asked.

"Hell if I know!"

"(Y/N)?" The couple looked at each other.

"No, this is Kyungmi."

"Kyungmi Uchiha."
