The Demon's Lover (Meliodas)

Chapter 24

"Little Goddess!"

Ayano once again jumped at the sound of his voice. He really likes to scare her doesn't he?

"pft" Meliodas smirks "scaredy cat"

"Uncultured demon" Ayano glares at him

"Whatever you say" Meliodas just shrugs "just make sure you're prepared tonight"

"prepared.. for what?" Ayano asks

"For the experiment of course" Meliodas looks at her "Did you really think you had much longer? Many of your kind are already being slaughtered as we speak and if this experiment succeeds we'll have the upper hand"

"So I'm going to die tonight" Ayano looks down at the ground

"Don't be so naïve" Meliodas turns from her "you should've known the moment you were caught that it was the end for you"

"...please.. let me go" Ayano begs "I don't wanna die"

"hah, you're begging me" Meliodas looks at her "listen here little goddess, you are nothing but my prey, you're life means nothing to me"

With that Meliodas walks out of the cell and Ayano begins to cry.

'how did this Meliodas who hated me so much.. fall in love with me?'

Once night fell, Ayano's stone door was opened once again.

"Goddess, I've come to fetch you"

That voice wasn't Meliodas's, it was different. Ayano looked up to see a boy that looked similar to Meliodas, but he looked a bit younger and had black hair.

"Y-you're not Meliodas" Ayano stutters

"So the goddess race isn't that stupid after all" the boy mocks "no, I am not my elder brother, he is with father" he walks to  her "I am to bring you to them"

Ayano backs against the wall as he approaches her.

"Don't make things harder" he picks her up and she screams "shut it unless you'd rather die now" he growls

Ayano yells, hits, and kicks him the entire way there. The boy just kept yelling threats at her, slowly Ayano realized that whatever this experiment was, he couldn't kill her until they completed it. Their was no real reason to fear any threat he yelled... yet.

They soon approached Meliodas in a dark tunnel and he walks over and slaps her butt. Ayano yelps and Meliodas forcefully takes her from his younger brother.

"Will you shut it" Meliodas growls

"y-you hit my butt!" Ayano shouts "what are you some kind of pervert?!"

"Maybe" Meliodas replies annoyed "now quite your yelling"

"Brother I could've helped you know" the black haired boy says

"You already carried her here Zeldris" Meliodas turns away from him "just observe"

Meliodas carries Ayano bridal style through the hallway, it was more comfortable then being slung over the shoulder of his younger brother Zeldris.

"don't get comfortable little goddess" Meliodas smirks "you'll be dead soon"

"Well.. can't I be comfortable before I die?" Ayano mumbles "even if I'm a goddess I'm still a living being, I haven't killed anyone in my life"

"In this word it's either kill or be killed" Meliodas tells her "and now look where you are"

"If that's truly the world" Ayano closes her eyes "then I'd rather not live in it anymore"
