Kenji Futakuchi x Reader

Monday Afterschool

You quickly looked down at your phone as it started ringing. It was Terushima.

"Hey, Teru!" You answered.

"Hey, are you coming?" He asked.

"Coming to what?" You thought. "Oh, yeah!" You exclaimed suddenly remembering. Monday's were your weekly McDonald's meetings with your best friends from Johzenji. "Yep, I am on my way right now!"

"Okay, cool. See ya in a little bit!" Terushima said before hanging up.

"Shit, shit, shit." You whispered under your breath as you quickly got all you stuff together to go to McDonald's. Once you got your stuff together, you drove as fast as the speed limit allows to get there.

You calmed yourself down from nearly wrecking a few times and walked in. Everyone was already there. You waved to them then went to go order your food.

"Hey, guys!" You greeted them. "Sorry, I'm late."

"It's okay." Rintaro (Numajiri) told you.

"We're just happy you could make it." Kaz (Bobata) added. You gratefully smiled back at them and took a seat between Terushima and Rintaro.

"So what's been going on?" Mat (Futamata) asked you.

"Nothing much, really. Everything's pretty boring there. There's no interesting people and they don't even have a basketball team for girls!" You ranted.

"What about Futakuchi? Didn't you say you were friends with him?" Rintaro asked you.

"Yeah, but... I don't know. He's just not the same as you guys, y'know." You replied.

"Well, duh! We're like awesome as fuck!" Terushima exclaimed.

  "Mmhm! That's for sure!" You exclaimed. After sharing a little more about what happened (including showing the rest of the boys you and Terushima's cake) throughout the week since you last had had y'all's McDonald's meeting. Your food then came and you quickly ate it, not realizing how hungry you actually were.

   "Damn, girl!" Terushima mumbled as he eyed you as you chomped down on your food. "You look like a mess." He laughed at you.

   "Shut up. I hungry." You told him. He rolled his eyes at you and continued eating his food.

   "Hey, you have something here." Rintaro said. You turned towards him.

   "Hmm?"

   "You have mayonnaise all over your face." Rintaro softly said and as he grabbed a napkin to gently wipe the mayonnaise off your face. You quickly started blushing and looked down as he grabbed your chin and wiped off the food you were apparently saving for later.

   "Thanks." You quietly mumbled. You heard him quietly chuckle in return.

"You're cute." He chuckled in a low voice, causing you to get even more red, if possible.

After 30 more minutes most of the team had left. Only you, Terushima, and Rintarou remained.

"Y'all ready?" Terushima asked. You and Rinatoro nodded in response and got up. You went to go get yourself a refill real quick before you left. As you were backing up, you bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry." You said instinctively. The person gently grabbed your shoulders causing you to look up. It was Rintaro. "Why's he been acting weird this whole time?"You thought to yourself.

"Y/n." Rintaro said seriously. You looked up at him. "So... I-I was wondering if... you'd like to go on a date with me Saturday?" He nervously asked. You widened your eyes in surprise. You didn't know what to say, you didn't know what to feel. "I-I'm sorry if I made this awkward. I just really like you as a friend, a-and I kind of wanted to take it a little further. Sorry, forget I ever said anything." He quickly added after seeing your expression.

"Yes!" You randomly blurted out. You had no idea what you were saying, you just felt like it.

"Y-yes?!" He turned back around in shock and amazement.

"Yes." You confirmed, still not sure about anything, you just knew that it was too late to say no and you didn't want to play him like that.

"Thank you!" Rintaro almost yelled and gave you a hug. You hugged him back. You then saw Terushima waiting for you two with a really annoyed, impatient expression.

"Oh, shoot!" You said quickly removing yourself from the hug and quietly whispered Terushima's name to Rintaro so he could know what the heck you were talking about.

You and Rintaro caught up to Terushima and walked out with him. Terushima then went to his vehicle and left without saying anything.

"Is he okay?" Rintaro asked once he left. "Is he jealous?"

"I have no idea." You responded earnestly.

"Hmm." Rintaro mumbled. "Well, I guess I'll see ya later then." He said, waving to you. You waved bye back to him and got into your moms car she let you borrow.

You couldn't help but feel an odd emptiness. You've never seen Terushima act this way and you wanted to know if he was jealous. You decided to call him on your way back. Much to your dismay, he didn't answer. But maybe he was busy, because he didn't straight up decline it.

You then got home and got ready for bed. Sending a quick good night text to Terushima. You tried going to sleep, but ended up watching random videos and looking at memes and playing Call of Duty until 2 a.m. Then you went to sleep.
