Today was the day!!! Today was the day of the dance. Your mom had taken you shopping for clothing for the dance earlier. Now you were just waiting for Kenji to pick you up. You anxiously bounced your foot as you waited for a text from him or for the doorbell to ring or something.
You finally heard the doorbell ring and quickly sprinted towards the door and opened it.
"Hi!" You excitedly greeted Kenji as you opened the door.
"Hey." Kenji replied. He then took time to admire your outfit, which was nice, but not too too formal. "You look so pretty!" He exclaimed and pulled you into a hug.

"OH!" You said, remembering that he hasn't met your parents yet. "This is my mom." You told him as you led him to your mother.
"Hi, ma'am." He politely said, shaking her hand. Your mother shook his hand back and introduced herself. She then allowed the two of you to go and as you were leaving, with Kenji waiting for you at the door, she whispered something to you.
"He's cute." She told you. "And so far more respectful than Teru." You fake smiled knowing that Kenji can sometimes be far from polite. You then joined Kenji at the door and left.
"You seriously look super pretty tonight." Kenji told you again once you got into his car.
"Thanks." You shyly said. "What do you think there will be?" You asked him.
"Hopefully food." Kenji muttered in response. "But other than that I'm sure they'll be fun stuff to do as well. Like music, games." He explained, reaching over to grab your hand. "I heard they're even doing a bouncy house."
