"cho haneul! how many times have i told you not to eat in class and hand in your assignments in advance?? i want no eating in my class and please hand in your assignments the day of, not a few days before!"
"but wait sir, isn't doing my assignments in advance a good thing? why do i have to wait till the day of? also can i not eat even just a small snack?" i complained.
"no. and because you're questioning me like this, you're going to stay in here after class for detention!" he says. "no buts, no excuses."
i deeply sighed and bowed at him before going to my seat. getting scolded in front of my whole class was entertaining for my friend but second-hand embarrassment for others.
"hey, it's your second detention! arent you gonna celebrate?" my best friend, mashiho says sarcastically laughing.
i look at him, annoyed, attempting to playfully punch him in front of me. i then changed my posture, crossing my arms on my desk and resting my head on them, closing my eyes.
this class isn't my favourite considering our teacher is strict and has weird teaching style but good thing mashiho is here, otherwise i would have not survived him alone.
after a bit, we hear someone entering the class, even though class is about to end in about 20 minutes.
"excuse me? park jihoon, you dare to enter the class when there's only 20 minutes left? go stand at the back of the classroom!"
jihoon sighed, putting his bag down by his desk then standing at the back of the class.
"and haneul, are you sleeping in class? this is the third time you're getting on my nerves today. you go and stand there with jihoon for the rest of the class until your detention!
i was in disbelief as mashiho secretly laughs at me. "i literally had my eyes open, what even..." i told mashiho before going to stand next to jihoon.
it's like our teacher is taking turns with picking on me and jihoon. it's jihoon one day, me another day this past week but somehow today, he chose to show anger towards both of us.
