; in which you miss out a special night at school due to an accident but a surprise comes your way anyways

"are you ready? tonight you're gonna get prom queen!!" vivi said, excited for me as we were preparing for a volleyball game we had the day of our special night.
"of course, it's probably going to be a memorable night for me because prom night and valentine's day are coincidentally today." i smiled at my best friend.
"you know a lot people voted for you and hyunsuk to be prom king and queen right? you two are winning that because you guys are the best couple out there."
"ahhh, don't think about that too much. theres couples like hani and junkyu or chaerin and yoshinori that could ending up winning as well." i say as i put my knee pads up.
"okay but you're so popular amongst the people in our year because of how athletic you are. you're one of our best players!"
"stop hyping me up so much and warm up, vivi," i laughed as i continued to warm up.
"is hyunsuk coming to our game?"
"he has a basketball game as well, but i understand. he's been to the other games anyways," i smiled. "i think he said he's coming as soon as he's done though."
our coach called us and we finally began to step foot into the court. as we played, both vivi and i were doing really good on court like usual. we were very confident for our team but we were very humble about whatever the outcome is.
as the other team had the ball, they were getting ready to spike, and as i'm one of the high jumpers in the team, despite my short height, i was a blocker.
getting ready to block, i quickly step back and run to jump. as i jumped, i blocked the ball, giving our team a point but something was wrong as soon as i landed my left foot.
our team and the audience was cheering as i managed to block the ball, and my team members all came up to me, happy for me.
"yes ana!!! you managed to block it!!" she smiled, until she looked down and saw my ankle a bit red.
"damn, my ankle." i said, in pain as i reached for my ankle, immediately massaging it. "vivi, i think my ankle is hurt.."
"what? what do you mean?!" vivi said in panic. "coach!! niana is hurt!!" she yelled and it caught the attention of everyone, seeing that i was on the ground, holding onto my hurting ankle.
