Part 27: Pawns and Power

We just wanted to be cared for.

We wanted hope, we wanted love.

We wanted to be accepted,

We wanted equality.

We wanted peace.

But instead of hope,

they gave us hate.

They don't see us as people,

they see us as animals that need to be caged.

They don't see us as a part of humanity,

they see us as things who don't deserve to live.

In their eyes,

we are different.

Simple pawns in their games.

People to be sacrificed,

people to be showcased,

people that are given the opportunity

to show how far the world progressed.

People debate religion,

People debate rights.

Every religion is here because they wanted peace.

Every right should be given because we are all humanity.

We are one race, one people, the parts of the whole.

They label us with names,

names we are so terrified of.

Black, white, blue-eyed, dark-eyed,

Jewish, Muslim, Atheist, terrorist,

dangerous, oppressed, insane,

When will it end,

Your labeling games?

You label me.

I label you.

They label us as everything.

And your disgusting,

if you make a person ashamed for who they are,

there labels that were given.

and label them unjustly,

with nothing to prove it.

You never helped,

you never cared,

you never wanted us to be here,

you played your games,

you earned you power,

and simply forgot,

that us pawns have power.
