I was sitting by her bed holding her hand. Apparently from her medical records seizures were usual, but they were glad we called in, apparently it was the right thing to do. Now we're just waiting for her to wake up. Everyone else is gone to get food since our cafe trip sort of failed, but I said I'll stay here with her.
"Thomas?" I heard a voice say.
"You're awake! And yeah, it's me." I smiled.
"Oh gosh, you were the one who find me right?" She sounded exasperated.
"Yes, yes it was. So, are seizures normal?" I asked.
"Yeah." She started playing with her two thumbs.
I looked at her face and she looked up at me. I started leaning closer and closer, until our lips touched. I felt an electric jolt light up my lips. When we finally stopped she had a look of panic in her eyes.
"Listen, I have to go. I'll check out. I'm fine." She said.
"You can't drive though!" I said.
"I'll call my sister. Don't refuse, it'll be a waste of time to us both." And she ran off to the check out spot.
I didn't follow her.
