The Doctor's POV
"DOCTOR!" I heard Amara scream from outside.
I ran out to the ally to find Amara standing about a meter away from a weeping angel.
"Don't blink Amara!"
"I know that you idiot!" She yelled at me.
"Just slowly walk over to me without looking away, okay?"
"Okay." Then she started to walk around the angel.
She glanced at the eyes of the angel. When she made eye contact with it she froze. And walked closer to it.
"Amara what are you doing?"
"What are you talking about I'm walking towards you."
"No you're not Amara. Listen to my voice and follow it."
Amara's POV
When the Doctor told me to walk towards him I started to but then I made eye contact with the angel. And I started walking towards it.
"Amara what are you doing?" The Doctor asked.
I seemed to be in a trance because I thought that I was still walking towards him.
"What are you talking about? I'm walking towards you."
"No you're not, Amara listen to my voice and follow it."
I stopped suddenly stuck on the spot. The Doctor walked slowly up to me. When he got to me he grabbed my arm and tried to pull me away.
"I can't move Doctor." I said crying.
"What are you talking about?"
"My feet are stone!"
He looked down at my feet.
"No they're not, Amara you're hallucinating it."
"No I can't move."
He sighed and picked me up. As soon as he picked me up my feet weren't stone any more.
"Just hallucinating." I kept muttering under my breath. "Ten."
"Okay. Amara take Layla back to your apartment, okay?"
"Nine."
"What?" He asked looking at me.
"I said fine."
He tilted his head.
"Actually Amara stay here. Rose take Layla back to the TARDIS." Rose nodded. When they were gone the Doctor looked at me. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm eight."
"Why are you counting?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I said I'm great."
He nodded his head. And the looked out the door to see if the angel was still there.
Layla's POV
Amara was my friend and all, but this is just crazy! I mean they're all scared of an angel statue! I heard Amara mutter "I'm just hallucinating. Ten." Well that was just creepy. I thought. Right now Rose is leading to something called a TARDIS, I have no idea what that is but it sounds weird. Rose seemed nice. Amara seemed to trust her even through Rose doesn't even know her. I noticed that Rose walked into a blue box. It said 'POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX', it looked different to the other telephone boxes in London. It seemed weird. That's probably because it's blue and not red. I thought mentally face palming myself. When I wasn't walking in Rose poked her head out.
"Are you coming?"
"Sure." I said walking slowly towards the box.
When I got in I gasped shocked at the sight I saw.
"It's bigger on the inside."
"Really? I never noticed. Now you have to stay here. Okay?"
"Okay."
She ran back outside and I went through the halls of the TARDIS exploring.
The Doctor's POV
"It's not there." I said while turning away from the window.
"Seven through I assumed that. Wow."
She said sarcastically.
"You're counting down."
"What?"
"You started at ten and now you're at seven."
"What's wrong with me?" She yelled.
"Nothing is wrong with you. Okay nothing is wrong with you."
"Six me!"
"You just said six." At this she started to cry her eyes out.
"I'm not five!" She said.
"Wait you looked into it's eyes didn't you? That's when you started to hallucinate isn't it?"
"Yes."
"Close your eyes."
"What? Why?"
"I have a theory." She nodded then closed her eyes. Rose then barged through the door.
"Doctor who is it?" Amara asked.
"It's just Rose okay?"
"Doctor why are her eyes closed?" Rose asked me. I looked at her with a grim expression on my face.
"Because if she doesn't she might turn into an angel."
"What?" They both said.
"You have the image of an angel in your mind because you looked into it's eyes."
I saw a single tear slide down her cheek. Then she slowly opened her eyes.
"Amara close your eyes." I said worried.
"I have a theory of my own." She said walking to where she last saw the angel. "Four."
"Amara, NO!" I said running out after her. But it was to late there was already an angel there smiling, reaching out for her. I kept staring at it but Amara had her eyes closed. She opened them expecting to see that she had moved back in time. When she noticed that she wasn't she sighed. She turned to look at me.
"Three." Was all she said. Her eyes were starting to glaze over and get out of focus a bit.
