Chapter 4: Dhak Dhak Issues

One week Later:

  Khushi had spent the last four years in London at Central St Martins. She learned the ins and outs of Fashion Designing from the best Fashion Design Institution the world could offer her. It was incredibly hard to get into the program but she had practically put her blood, sweat, and tears into creating a commendable application. The result was more than acceptable. She felt euphoric. Like she was floating on top of a cloud. If only her Arnavji could see her right now, she knew he would have been the proudest person of her achievements.

  She glanced out the airplane window as dawn just started breaking upon the soft floating clouds of the night past.

  She would soon be landing in Delhi, where her heart remains. Her dreams, the one purpose of this second chance were so close to coming true yet, all she felt like doing was sobbing her heart out. When a person is separated from their loved ones for a long time, they cannot hold themselves from crying out their pain when they finally meet again. You see it all the time with families that are separated by one problem or another. It's life. But for herself, there was no one to go to, to share that grief of separation with. Her Arnavji wouldn't recognize her, let alone feel the pain of being away from her. At least, not yet.

  Khushi tried to distract herself from her thoughts by finishing up a design that was heavily inspired by the green and pink lehenga she had worn when they had first met the last time.
