Chapter 9

Sway

You screamed at the top of lungs. Far from Hyrule, you were in a deserted area. You were taken by someone you've never seen before. Chained, you were a power source to him because of the malice that stayed inside you.

Inside a bubble of a purple-like liquid, your clothes were gone for the malice to work better. You were exhausted. "Link...Link..!"

"You want to what?"

"We have to take revenge! I can't stay alive when those killers are still there. They might even go after you since your name comes from her." Shiro said.

"You..you don't think we might lose? I mean my ancestor had her full power and still couldn't do it..so how can I..?" You responded.

"You want to relax while they might be targeting you?! We have to do something! Besides..we have Link on our side!" Shiro smiled. "Guess so.."

You walked around the land with Shiro until you two hear someone laugh. "You're (Y/N)?" He asked. You stayed silent. "Yay! I have to thank you!"

He came down to your level and faced you. "Thank you so much for getting rid of that annoying spirit!" He began boogieing. "..What?"

"I said.." Shiro saw that he took out a sword to attack you and quickly pulled you away. "Thanks! That gives me so much more hope! Your goddess power is now gone and I can finally strike!" He danced and moved fast around you. His dancing was on beat, you couldn't lie. Shiro tried to punch him, but the man kicked him away. You could only control your malice at some point but it wasn't always, so you ran. "I'll meet you back at Kakariko! Go!" Shiro shouted.

After minutes of running, you started getting really tired. "Let's dance!" You heard and looked behind you. "(Y/N)!!" Shiro calls. The man disappeared, tagging you along with him.

"No!!..Crap! I have to go to Link!!"

"Link!! Link!!!" Shiro called for him. Link came out of his house. "Shiro..? It's really late, what are- Where's (Y/N)? I thought she was with you?"

"That's the thing! She was taken away!!"

"You're lucky I don't have my other power.." You said, weakly. "Am I, really? Because the only time you actually used that power was your last. You never figured out the real potential of that power..it was just some light to you."

You stayed silent. "I don't blame you, though. You lost your memories..if only your grandmother didn't keep you hidden from the real world, we could've become great friends."

"What..?" You asked. "How do you know-"

"I study, (Y/N). I may look like a maniac in your eyes, but I know what I'm doing. If I didn't, your 'Shiro' could've beat me." He sighed. "I knew about Akari's doing. I learned about her..then you came. At first, I didn't understand why you were there until I heard your name..it all came together in my research. Anyways, get ready."

Your eyes widen as you began screaming. The pain was excruciating. "I'm not with the calamity..nor am I with anyone from the past. I know you won't forgive me for taking your power..but I'm doing this to put an end to the legends." He said.

"The legends?"

"The curse that's been going for so many generations. That hero and the princess. Both of them are nothing and when I mean nothing, they're just there to risk their lives for an evil who was angry for losing! Because he lost, these poor descendants have to suffer. They're just toys for the goddesses to use when the time comes. Believe you're the 'Chosen one' but get the ugliest death."

"That's suicide." You told him. "Fight with the goddesses and you'll end up like him."

"Who? Ganondorf?"

You nodded. "Even if the chosen one's only exist for one thing, they still live however they wish. What I'm saying is..a curse like that is out of anyone's power..including theirs-"

"Okay! What about the Triforce?! Get it and get your wish!"

"Who's protecting the Triforce?!" You shouted back. He stayed silent. "That's right..leave this. It's not worth fighting-"

You started screaming as he took from you again. "Shut up! Shut up! I will do what I must! I have to put an end to this timeline! To their timeline!" Your energy was disappearing fast.

The bubble popped and you fell to the ground. He threw a blanket around you. "Then there's phase two." He grabbed your face as your eyes and mouth were glowing. Once he finished, you coughed. "What was that..?" He placed you back in the bubble. "Just the finishing touch..if we're far from each other, I can still get a hold of your power."

You fell asleep. He looked down. "Sorry, (Y/N). My name's Ares. I know your other name. The goddess you are.."

Suddenly, there was an explosion. Ares turned to see who was there. It was Shiro and Link
who had the most angriest look on his face.

"No!"

Link was fast with the Master sword, even to trick Ares.

Shiro pulled you out of the bubble to wrap around a towel and carry you out.

You opened your eyes. "Link! Watch out!!"

Ares created a portal behind Shiro and pushed all of you in. Link quickly grabbed you and used his paraglider to fall slowly onto the ground. You two landed in front of a huge castle.

"My goal was different than what I had to do you with you." Ares said. "I know what you're trying to do, but fighting against something that you don't have a chance with is stupid!"

"I have to give it a try!...anyways..we're here."

A voice came in. "I smell corruption."

He sounded so scary.

Ares looked up to the castle. "I had no choice but to-"

"Silence. You had one job, there is no one allowed here with such a soul!!" The voice awoke strong loud lighting.

Shiro tapped your shoulder. "You might wanna change your name..these are the people who killed her."

"Her! Your power..it's odd."

"I'll take care of her." Ares said. You and Link noticed he was shaking.

"If anything, I'll do what must be done, but for now.." He took a deep breath. "For now, I need the proper equipment to examine this unusualness."

He whispered to follow him.
