I can feel my chest eating at me.

-

I hid my wrist, afraid of what my brother would do if he saw it.
I couldn't fully process what just happened, this all felt like a really bad dream I want to wake up from.

"I'm coming Draco hold on!" I shouted to him, trying to wipe my tears away as quickly as I could.

When I saw him disappear, I bolted to the bathroom and lifted my sleeve up, revealing my wrist.
It was bleeding from how deep he dug his nails into my skin, and the red mark surrounding it got worse.

My hands were trembling and my wrist ached from how hard he was holding it. It felt like it was about to slide off any second.
Suddenly, I heard the door creek open and a short girl with long, blonde hair and pale skin walked in.

"Oh my goodness." she whispered as her eyes widened at the sight of my wrist. "Are you alright dear?"

I hurriedly brung my sleeve down and turned away from her.
"I'm fine." I lied.

She slowly walked up to me, and brung out her wand.
"What are you doing?" I questioned as I started backing away from her.

"Calm down, love. I'm healing that poor wrist of yours." she said with a warm smile. "I'm Luna Lovegood."

I returned a smile back and walked closer to her. "Avalon Malfoy."

She carefully took my wrist and started to say a spell out loud.
"Vulnera Sanentur." she said as she pointed the wand towards my hand.

As I looked down to my wrist, I saw the bleeding start to disappear and the red mark disappeared with it. My aching finally stopped and my wrist was back to normal.

"How did you know how to do that spell?" I shot my head back up towards her.

"I guess you could say i'm a quick learner." she grinned, and walked out of the bathroom.

If it wasn't for that girl, I would have to walk back to my dorm trying to hide my wrist from Draco, knowing how that would go. I had to thank her.

My mind couldn't focus on anything besides what Tom told me.
'If you tell anyone, i'll kill you and your brother. I won't hesitate."

His voice kept replaying in my head, the same scene of his nails digging deeply into my skin.
I didn't know what to do. I couldn't just let him have that book. He was going to make Horcrux's for all I know. And we'd all be in danger.
Hermione was right to not be friends with him, he's crazy..

As I left the bathroom and hurried upstairs, I saw all of the Slytherins walking outside.
"Where are you all going?" I questioned one of the Slytherins.

"We're going outside for our first lesson of flying!" he cheered as they continued walking outside.
I peered around, searching for my brother and saw him walking with a small girl with short hair and bangs.
I've heard of her before, her name was Pansy.

As I walked with the crowd of Slytherins, I started to fall behind everyone else.
I felt a tall figure come up behind me and push me slightly, causing me to fall forward onto the ground.
"Oops I'm sorry." he snarled.

I quickly picked myself up and turned to look at exactly who I was expecting, Tom.
Instead of showing him anger, I took a deep breath in and tried calming myself down. I wasn't going to let him ruin my first day of flying.

I dusted off the dirt from my knees and turned around, but before I could start walking he grabbed my arm and whispered into my ear.
"You haven't told anyone about the book right?"

I shook his hand off my arm and glared into his eyes fuming with anger.
"Don't touch me."

He chuckled at the sight of me so angry.
"You don't have your big brother by your side to protect you huh?"

My blood started to boil inside of my body. He was pushing me today.
"You said to leave you alone and I did. Now you're the one who's not leaving me alone-"

He grabbed my arm and his face stayed calm and still.
"I need something from you."

I squinted my eyes at him and scoffed.
"Oh you need something from me? Try asking again when you don't treat me like garbage. "

He scoffed and looked away from me like he was annoyed.
"Fine. Let's start fresh?" he grinned at me.

I pushed him away from me and shot a dreadful look towards him.
"Nice try."

As I started to walk away he caught up to me and walked besides me.
"Listen, I'm sorry for being rude and you know.. hurting you. How's your wrist by the way?"

I lifted up my sleeve to show him my perfectly good wrist, and he smirked.
"So you're not weak then."

I rolled my eyes and tried walking away from him but he kept catching up to me.
"I need someone strong. To help me." he said.

"Help you with what?" I questioned, squinting my eyes and blocking the sun with my hand.

We both stopped in the middle of the grass field as everyone continued walking in front of us.
"I need your help to make me immortal." he whispered.

I couldn't help myself but laugh.
"You want my help? You're the one who said you don't need anybody and you're always alone."

An evil smirk grew upon his face as he looked me up and down.
"A partner might not be so bad."

I scoffed at him.
"What are you trying to do here? Because it's not going to work-"

He cut me off by walking very close to my face, his eyes piercing into mine.
"Remember what I said last time? How I won't hesitate to kill you or your brother-"

"You think you're all scary Tom, but in reality you wouldn't hurt a fly." I taunted at him, knowing this would make him angry.

His lip quivered and he stepped even closer to me.
"Remember how easily I can do this?"
Then he grabbed my wrist again and pulled me towards him.
I gasped and choked on what sounded like my own oxygen.

"Help me or i'll keep coming back and hurting you." he stated.

All I could think about in that moment was to scream "help!" and it would all be over. But I was too afraid of what he might do to my brother, so I relaxed my body.
"Fine. But you have to stop doing that." I hissed as I yanked my arm away from him.

"Meet me at the library at 8:00. Come alone." he hissed into my ear, then vanished off with the rest of the Slytherins.
