Memories flooded through my head of us bolting through, feeling the chilling wind brush against our skin as we made our way through the city.

-

It's been a few days since the incident with my brother and Harry. Every day after class i've stayed cooped up inside my dorm, away from everybody.

Everybody who I thought were my friends, now hated me because what Draco did to Harry.
Not to mention, Harry knew I was lying. And he told Hermione, Ron and Neville who all hate my guts now.

I was laying in my bed, all cozy and snuggled up until the door flew open.
"Avy you need to come quick." Draco exclaimed as he stood by the door waiting for me to follow him.

"What happened?" I questioned as anxiety traveled throughout my body.

"Just follow me." he called.

I rushed out of bed, put on my robe and hurried out the door. It was dark, and gloomy in the halls. Draco held a lantern in his hand as he guided me through the halls.

"Where are we going?" I blurted, trying to stop him but he hurried in front of me.

"Somebody has stolen a book from the library." Draco babbled as we continued walking down the dingy hallways.

"So?" I scoffed.

He came to a halt, causing me to crash into him.
He turned around to face me and peered into my eyes.
"Not just any book, Avy. A Horcrux book." he said with his 'spooky' voice.

"Ooo i'm so scared a Horcrux book." I tainted as he hit me on the shoulder.
"This isn't funny Avy."

"What even is a Horcrux?" I questioned as we continued on our way through the halls. "And where are we even going?"

"We're going to the library to go learn about Horcrux's. Professor Mcgonagall announced earlier that somebody has stolen a book from the library about them and to not mess with Horcrux's or to try and learn about them." Draco uttered.

"So someone telling us to not learn about something means we're gonna go learn about it?" I questioned.

He scoffed.
"Yes."

We finally arrived at the library and we walked through each row, searching for books about Horcrux's.
I saw Hermione snooping through some books about Potions, and decided to come up to her.
"Hello Hermione." I beamed.

She slightly jumped at the sound of my voice beaming behind her, and she gave me a hateful look.
"Oh.. it's you." she snarled, then continued looking through the books.

"I know you're angry about what my brother did to Harry but you have to understand something-"

"I'm mad that you lied about Harry hurting you." she interrupted furiously as she turned around to face me. "You know Harry didn't touch you. So why did you lie to Draco about it?" she questioned, her eyes saddened and sorrowful.

"Hermione." I began as I grabbed her hand and sat her down at a table with me. "I panicked and lied to my brother. I'm sorry. But he couldn't know who really hurt me-"

"Who was it Avalon?" she blurted, her face still saddened.

"It was Tom." I hesitated, quickly regretting telling her. "But he wasn't trying to hurt me. He was just.. mad about something. I don't know Hermione-"

"No Avalon. Just because he's mad about something doesn't give him an excuse to hurt you. What did he even do to you anyway?"

I lifted up my wrist to show her the red mark surrounding it.
