Everything was slowly returning to normal in 221.b baker street.

John was slowly adjusting to his life with Sherlock again, after all he had missed his best friend, even if sherlock had pretended that he was dead for months. He was relieved that he wasn't, but what sort of friend watches and allows you to you grieve over his dead body! he had missed sherlock so much... john had fallen into a deep pit of depression. without Sherlock, his life had been boring, no cases, no interesting stories he could put on his blog- his blog had got millions of view at one point, now, he was lucky if he managed to get more that one. it turns out the only interesting thing about his entries was the spontaneous detective. to be fair, that detective was also the only thing interesting thing in his life as well. without sherlock, his life was repetitive. repeating the same day over and over again. he had tried to date but had come to recognize that there was no one who could fill such a gap in his life. most of the women that he met when out were boring or just sluts who wanted you for sex.

sherlock had come to the realization that nothing was ever going to happen between him and john, especially not the relationship that he so desired. he couldn't even imagine john ever feeling the same way he felt about him .but doesn't it sound delightful? going to bed with john Watson, waking up to john Watson and spending the day with john Watson. he could take him out on dates if that's what john wanted... sherlocks life was slowly getting better again and he was so glad to have john back in his life. it was heartbreaking for him to watch john mourn over his 'dead' body and fall into such sorrow despair. he hated Mycroft for what he had made sherlock do. sherlock had kept asking and asking: 'when can I see john again' but all Mycroft would reply with was some nonsense about it being for his own protection. who cares about his protection when john was hurting!

when they had originally arrived back at the flat, Mrs. Hudson had been happy to see sherlock again. well, after a slap around the face and a 10 minute lecture that is... but now everything was normal as it should be with Mrs. Hudson back to her usual cheery self and her repeatedly saying 'I'm not your housewife dear' and then bringing us cups of tea every morning.

everything was steadily regaining normality and sherlock and john had even have a few clients. not that sherlock had any interest in any of them of course. they were all boring cases like; missing cats; stolen shopping. So obviously none were taken up. which led to sherlock being bored out of his wits.

a couple of weeks later john and sherlock were sitting in the front room in their designated seats when john suddenly starting thinking about a past conversation. they had only ever really talked about dating once before, on the day that they had met. of course that had gone horribly wrong as did most conversations at first and john had hardly got any information about sherlocks love life at all. he did however have a sneaking suspicion that sherlock was gay. he had never seen sherlock with a women before. but he had never seen him with a man either though... who knows what goes on in that mad mind of his. john had never seen sherlock with any form of lover before or even a friend of any sort- apart from him of cause.

john suddenly got drawn out of this bubble he had created by sherlock jumping up and asking john if he would like a cup of tea. that man and his mood swings, one minute he is weeping, the next he's an angry shouting beast and then he's offering tea how can you not love him. no wait. john didn't love sherlock. he wasn't gay, the amount of people that ask him if he's gay on a daily basis is insane. does he look gay or something? must be the sweaters. still doesn't explain why everyone thinks that he and sherlock are a couple. as if that frantic detective would ever like someone like john. not that john wanted him to. john isn't gay.
