Sophie made her way down the hall, muttering what different things were, not daring to even look in Keefe's direction.
"Those are the lockers. That's the science lab, and the computer lab" Right as they turned a corner, she felt him reach out and grab her shoulder.
"Sophie we need to talk" she shook his hand off.
"No we don't..." she looked away, not sure if she was angry, or sad, or happy to see him.
"Yeah. We do. It's been five years. I want to talk to my best frie-"
She cut him off. "How can you still think we're friends after what happened?
"I told you I'm sorry. It was an accident" Sophie just shook her head as the memories came back.
"No. I just can't talk about it-" a wave of dizziness came over her and she held her hand out to the wall.
"Whoa, are you okay Foster?"
"I'm f-fine" Oh no. Not again.. she barely felt her head hid the floor before memories overtook her consciousness.

She stood at the edge of the sidewalk outside the cafe across the street from the gas station. She was ten, keefe was eleven.
Her sister Amy was there as well, and she ran inside the cafe where their mom was working her shift.
"I don't think you should be hanging out with those thugs Keefe. They're jerks." She said.
"They aren't that bad." He argued.
"They took my backpack at lunch today, and I still haven't gotten it back. I'm too scared to tell my parents in case they make it worse."
He huffed in what might have been annoyance. "Look, I'll get your bag back. Just give them a chance, okay?"
Sophie rolled her eyes. "Fine, don't listen to what I have to say. One day they're going to change you Keefe. Change you into something you're not."
He scowled. "That won't happen to me a Foster. I won't let it happen" he looked around as if to make sure no one was watching before wrapping her in a hug.
And She hugged him back.
Then she was there in the moment. The moment their friendship shattered.
It was late at night. Her mom had driven them back to the cafe since she'd left her house keys in the back.
She noticed the shattered glass in the front window. Her mom told her and Amy to stay in the car and she got out, dialing the police as she went.
Then she saw the group of kids running out the back Ally dressed in black.
The one holding the bag caught her attention, not because of the stolen items inside of it, but because of the unmistakable striking blonde hair.
It was Keefe, which gave Sophie no doubt that the rest of them were his new friends.
Then there was the moment when their eyes met, and all the anger and rage and sadness in Sophie went pouring out.
She got out of the car besides her mom's orders. "What is wrong with you!? I warned you Keefe. I knew this would happen!" All of them stopped to stare at her.
"Who is that Sencen" One of the boys said
Keefe looked away. "No one. She's no one."

Sophie woke up to the sound of beeping. Gasping cane from around her. Sophie realized she was in the hospital. In a panic she tried to get up.
"No Miss Foster. Don't move. You have a severe concussion. We don't want you to make it worse." It was a tall man with short brown hair and gray-ish blue eyes.
"Who are you?" She asked. Her throat felt so dry when she spoke.
"I am Doctor Heslege, but feel free to call me Elwin"
"What happened?"
He glanced across the room as if waiting for confirmation before speaking. "You had a black out. Something triggered something in your mind and it caused you to go into this sort of subconscious state. Almost like sleeping, but different.
Sophie was terrified. "So there's something wrong with me?"
Elwin shook his head. "No, you just responded to something. A memory probably." Sophie knew exactly what had happened now. It all made sense now. Sort of.
A knock came at the door, and Elwin said they could come in. Another man, shorter, opened the door. "The girl's family wants to know if they could come in yet."
"Yes Bullhorn. Just make sure they come in one at a time to prevent her from feeling overwhelmed." The man nodded and closed the door.
"His name is...Bullhorn?" Sophie asked Elwin.
Elwin cracked a smile. "It's what we call him. It's better than his real name, which trust me you don't want to know." She nodded, even though it made her want to know even more.
Then her first visitor came in. It wasn't her parents or Amy. Not even one of her friends.
It was Keefe.
