"Y-Y/n?!" Kicha asked startled.

"Pay attent-" the dude was already on the move.

I knew him. Known as Captain Zilinch. He was the one of the strongest, even helped me rise in the ranks. Looking back he prolly new what was happening as well.

"Oi Y/n!" It was that fateful day that he approached me.

"Hmm?" I turned around.

"I heard you were on of the top of thymia control in your sector."

"Let me cut this short. I want you to join the army."

"Why so?"

"You'd be a great asset, insurance for your younger brother will be ensured."

"I know that farmer job mustn't make much, as well as knowing since the recent rise in taxes you've been skipping on a few more meals lately haven't you?" I scowled in response. He was right...

He walked away coming back with 2 glasses of wine.

"What's the problem? Is it the pay, no worries I have connections I can easily ensure that you can climb the ranks," he offered a glass.

"Suit yourself," he brought the glass the his lips and started drinking, "I await your answer Ms. L/n. I'll be back tomorrow!"

Naturally since nothing else was open to me I joined the army only to then see the same uniforms that killed my brother to be the uniforms I wore. As much as I hated it, this was the only place available.

Throughout the months my control over thymia became even more powerful, as well as new gained fighting skills. We went from ship to ship destroying the Nous.

I think overtime as we did that I started to forget what happened and their wrong doings.

I shake my head looking back at my former captain. How many lives have we killed together?

I guess now as well as protecting what I hold dear I can avenge the lives we both took.
