The Cafe

(Max's pov) after Desiree put Finn back to bed I went downstairs to make breakfast I decided to make eggs, toast, and bacon. I do most of the cooking to repay the dept I owe to Sam's mom for letting me stay here. I soon finished making breakfast and by that time Sam and Desiree were up, so I went to go wake up Finn and Brandon. First I woke up Brandon with a slap on his head and a thank you for carrying me to my bed.

"Yeah, yeah whatever bitch." Brandon said as a reply.

Then I went to go wake Finn up, even though he looked so calm and peaceful in his sleep I had to wake him. I shook him and picked him up bridal style, once he was more aware that is, and carried him downstairs so we could eat.

"Dad called earlier and said he wanted us to be home a little bit before our usual dinner time." Finn said sounding a little upset.

"Okay then what should we do today then?" Desiree asked

"Maybe you guys could get all of your stuff together and we can go to the park and eat lunch at a cafe," I suggest. Finn nods in agreement so do Sam and Desiree. I nod as well and ask, "Do you guys need help getting your things together?" Finn shakes his head.

"No I think I'm good but we need to borrow clothes again and we will return them tomorrow at school." Desiree said in a tired voice and yawned. I nod soon after we all finished breakfast.

Finn and I head to the guest room and I get some clothes for him to wear. Then we got dressed. Meanwhile the girls were doing the same. Finn and Desiree start getting all their stuff together. After that I grabbed my wallet and we all went to the park.

"So what do you guys wanna do?" I ask.

"Sit on a bench till lunch and just talk." Finn suggested. We all nod and walk over to the nearest bench and sat down next to our siblings and talked. Sam told the twins about her home life.

"Well my dad died as a veteran  before I was born, but other than that it's okay I get along with my brother and my mom, so yeah." Sam finished.

"Sorry for your loss." Desiree said.

"It's okay," Sam said. "Well its probably about time for lunch we should make our way over to the cafe." Sam said. Finn nods and we all start walking to the cafe. We sit down at a table.

"So since it's your money you can get us whatever you want." Sam said. 

"Umm okay I guess how about turkey sandwiches and hot cocoa and macaroons for dessert." They all nod so I order 4 hot chocolates 2 turkey sandwiches and some macaroons. About 10 minutes later we got our food. We split the sandwiches and ate them along with the cocoa and macaroons.

"What should we do now?" Asked Desiree.

"Um not sure maybe just sit and talk." Finn suggested we all nod and I pay and we all go back outside. "Where should we sit?" I ask.

"We can just sit on the ground." Finn says. I nod and we all sit down and start talking. A after a while Finn speaks up. "When do we start pretending to date?"

"Whenever you're comfortable then we can." Sam says.

"O-okay" he says, I blush a bit at him stuttering I nod in agreement and we start talking again. We talked until it started to get dark. "D-desiree we should probably go home," Finn states, nervous about ruining the fun we were having, she nods and stands up I stand up too

"We can walk you guys home" I say quickly so they hadn't turned around yet. Desiree looks at Finn for conformation, he nods.

"Sure that would be nice," Desiree says. Sam nods and we start walking to the twins' house.

When we get to the door Sam speaks up. "I had a lot of fun this weekend I hope we can do it again soon."

"Me too," the twins seat in unison.

"That's hella creepy," I say.  To that they both smile a creepy smile nod and go inside the house. "Bye!" I shout before Finn smiled, gave a small two finger salute, and closed the door.

(Finn's pov) "Hello disappointment and Desiree, welcome home, oh my, what are you both wearing, disgusting." Mom said as we walked in.

Desiree gave my hand a small squeeze of encouragement I nod towards her and she said. "Hi mom we had to borrow clothes from our friends cause we didn't pack enough clothes for two days"

"Okay well both of you need to shower before dinner and change into your own clothes." Our mother said sternly I nod and go to our room to get clothes, then I head to the bathroom to take a shower.

(Desiree' s pov) I get upset when Mom speaks to Finn like that, it's not fair for him to be treated like that. I sigh slightly so mom didn't hear. I start walking up the stairs to go to our room but stops as Dad calls me down to talk. I turn around and made my way back down the stairs to find my dad in the kitchen cooking. "Yes Dad?" I ask.

"Hey Dee, how was it?" He asks.

"It was fun I can't wait to hang out with them again!" I say ecstatically.

He nods and says "Well that's good I'm glad the both of you have friends now." I nod and start to turn around before my dad asks, "What did you do with them?"

"Oh we watched movies went shopping talked and ate at a cafe for lunch." I say.

"Oh that's nice I think you should check on Finn then take a shower," he says, I nod and head yup the stairs to were Finn was.

"Hey are you okay? Mom was pretty harsh." I say concerned. He nods and gestures towards the bathroom, I nod and get clothes to change into.
