Chapter 15

It's time to strap our boots on,
This is the perfect day to die,
Wipe the blood out of our eyes.
In this life there's no surrender,
There's nothing left for us to do,
Find the strength to see this through.

Skye's POV

Me and Dean arrive back at Paul's and see him open the door of his car, falling out onto the pavement hunched over as we run to him. "Check the car!" Dean yells to me and I search under the dashboard and steering column as Dean helps Paul. "Skye!" Dean yells. "Got it!" I yell back as I get up, removing the hex bag I found as Dean pulls Paul up from the pavement.

"Come on." Dean says as I light the hex bag on fire and drop it to the ground as it glows with blue and green flames. Paul recovers from choking and leans back against his car. "You okay?" I ask. "What the hell is happening to me?!" He yells. "Someone murdered your wife and now they're trying to kill you, that's what's happening to you." Dean says.

"That's impossible! There's no way..." He sighs. "If we hadn't have been following you, you'd be a doornail right now. Now who wants you dead?" Dean asks. "I...uh..." He trails off. "Come on think." Dean says. "There's a woman...uh..." He sighs. "A woman, okay?" I say. "An affair...a mistake, she was un-balanced, she was blackmailing me, and I put an end to it a week ago." He says. "What's her name?" I ask.

"What could she have to do with..." Dean cuts him off. "Paul! What is her name?" Dean yells. He sighs. "Amanda."

~AMANDA'S HOUSE~

Dean picks the lock and we enter with our guns drawn. We enter the room and find Amanda lifeless on the table covered in blood. I switch on the lights. "That's a curveball." Dean says. "Yeah." I sigh as we approach Amanda's body. I lift her right arm with the barrel of his gun then look at the other as well. "Three per wrist, veritical. She wasn't fooling around." I say as I look at Dean who puts his gun in the back of his jeans and bends down to look at the scattered remnant of the altar holding his nose to the smell of the burnt rotten food.

"Yeah, looks like she was working some heavyweight evil here." He says. "Yep." I say and turn around but I jump back, startled. Fuck I nearly walked into a rabbit that is hanging from the ceiling, dead. "Oh god! Fucking witches! Seriously, come on!" Dean yells. "Guess we know where she got the rabbit's teeth from." I say. "Well, Paul sure knows how to pick em huh? It's like Fatal Attraction all over again." Dean says. "Yeah." I say. "And why does the rabbit always get screwed in the deal?! The poor little guy." Dean says causing me to giggle. Aww he cares about a little bunny.

"You know what I don't get, Dean? If she was so bent on revenge, why do this?" I ask."Well, she got Janet Dutton, thought she finished off Paul, decided to cap herself and make it a spurned lover's hat-trick." He says. "Maybe." I say as I start to look under the glass table that Amanda is on. "I mean, this doesn't exactly look like the TV room of a bright and stable person, you know?" Dean says. "No, but then..." I trail off as I reach around a pull out another hex bag that is tucked under the table and stand up. "There's this." I say as I toss it to Dean.

"Another hex bag? Come on!" Dean groans as he opens the bag to find similar contents of the bag that we found in Janet's bathroom and he tosses it on the table reaching for his phone. "Looks like we got a hit, huh? A little witch-on-witch violence?" Dean asks. "I guess." I say as he dials a number on his phone and holds it up to his ear. "I'd like to report a dead body, 309 Mayfair Circle. My name? Yeah, sure my name is.." He clicks the phone shut, cutting himself off. "Why are witches ganking eachother?" Dean asks. "I don't know, but I think maybe we got a coven on our hands." I say.
