{Chapter 24}

Cora's POV

Fred and I have been secretly dating for 4 months now. Only Holly and George knew about our relationship. Nobody else caught on to it. That's mainly because Fred and I act normal when around other people. But when we're behind doors, it's completely different. Now don't get me wrong, we haven't been snogging each other's faces off or giving hickies. It's just quick pecks on the lips or cheek every now and then along with hugs. We didn't feel ready telling everybody yet. You know what they'll be like...especially, Harry, Remus and Sirius.

Everyone was at the Burrow. Everyone such as the Weasley's ( since they live there, duh!) myself, Harry, Sirius and Remus. It was the summer so we all decided to spend time with the Weasley's. I was currently in Ginny and I's room, tidying a few of my school work away when the door opened. I expected it to be Ginny so I was shocked when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. I jumped a little but calmed down when I felt a kiss on my head.

"Morning..." he says.

I roll my eyes.

"You're on thin ice doing this." I say.

He scoffs and pulls me to his chest.

"What do you mean?"

"You've got your arms around me and were in Ginny's room." I say. "Anyone can just walk in."

He turns me around so I'm facing him and looks down at me.

"Everyone's downstairs." He says before he leans down and kisses me.

I kiss back and smile. We pull away and he places his hand on my cheek.

"Happy 16th Birthday." He says, before lifting his hand up, revealing a necklace.

I gasp.

"Fred! I've told you before! No gifts."

"What? You think I'm not gonna buy you anything? On your 16th?!" He protests.

I roll my eyes.

"You know I don't do birthdays."

He smiles and holds the necklace up to my face. I look at it. It was a heart locket.

"Open it." He says.

I do so and it revealed a picture of Fred and I at the Yule Ball. We had quickly taken a picture before going back to our dormitories. I had a single picture of myself which I had sent to Remus and Fred and I took a picture together. He managed to fit it in the locket. I smile at it.

"It's beautiful." I say.

Fred smiles and puts it on me.

"What if someone notices it?" I ask.

"Just hide it under your top." He says.

I roll my eyes and look up at him. He smiles and we lean in before we were interrupted by Molly downstairs.

"Where is our birthday girl?!" She shouts.

Fred and I laugh as we pull away.

"Your mum sounds more excited than me." I say.

Fred smiles and nods.

"Come on. We better go down." He says.

I nod and quickly hide the necklace under my top before following Fred downstairs where I saw everyone sitting at the table filled with food.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CORA!" They all say.

I smile as I make my way over to the table. Harry pulls out a chair for me and I sit down and he tucks me in and sits beside me.
