Y/N had developed a comfortable pattern of going to the gym on a regular basis, taking solace in the familiar buzz of the bleachers. She would lose herself in the melody of her favorite tunes, pausing sometimes to scribble down notes about the volleyball players practicing furiously on the court.
One afternoon, as Y/N was buried in her thoughts, Tsukasa, a volleyball player, was approached by his teammate.
"Hey, Tsukasa-kun," one of his friends offered. "Why don't you ask Y/N to be our manager?" She's constantly around, and she's not drooling over Sakusa. It could be a win-win sitch ya knowww?"
Intrigued by the idea, Tsukasa decided to approach
Y/N. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, sliding onto the bleacher beside her.Y/N looked up from her notebook, slightly surprised. "Oh, hey Tsukasa. What's up?" she greeted him.
Tsukasa hesitated for a moment before diving into his question. "Are you interested in joining a club right now?" he asked, trying to keep his tone casual. (But deep down inside, he's actually terrified of asking Y/N, well, because she's pretty.)
"I guess... I don't have anything else going on, AND I kind of chickened out on auditioning for the music club. Why are you asking?" She confessed, her voice tinged with disappointment.
"I was hoping you'd be interested in taking over as manager of the volleyball club," Tsukasa revealed, his gaze earnest. "We really need someone right now, and you'll be the first female manager we've ever had."
Y/N blinked, surprised by the unexpected offer. After a little pause, she gave a cautious smile. "Hmm, sure," she responded, feeling a tinge of excitement at the thought of attempting something new.
Tsukasa disclosed the news to the coach, who immediately accepted Y/N as the new manager and talked about her tasks for the next day.
As Y/N walked through the halls, she overheard rumors about her new job. "Did you hear? Fujii is the new manager of the volleyball team," someone remarked.
"Ugh, what an attention seeker," another person commented.
Frustrated by the comments and tired of months of insults, Y/N confronted one of the gossipers, sparking a physical fight. Despite the consequences, Y/N felt a surge of empowerment as she fought for herself.
Later, called to the principal's office, Y/N explained the situation. "I punched her because she's been calling me a slut every single day for, I don't know, like three months?" she admitted.
While acknowledging that violence wasn't the answer, the principal couldn't help but feel a sense of pride for Y/N's courage. "Who won?" she asked.
"I did," Y/N replied.
"AYEEEE."
The principal offered a high-five, proud of Y/N's strength. Afterward, Y/N returned to class, feeling a mix of emotions but ultimately proud of herself for standing up against the bullying.
