Caspian walks through the forest.

"I can hear you", said Caspian.

Nikabrik and Trufflehunter appear from behind two trees.

"I just think we should wait for the Kings and Queens".

Caspian continues to walk ahead ignoring the badger's suggestion. "Fine. Go then. See if the others will be so understanding".

"Or maybe I'll come with you. I'd like to see you explain things to the Minotaurs.

Caspian stops in his path. He turns to Nikabrik, "Minotaurs? They're real?"

"And very bad-tempered".

"Yeah, and not to mention big".

"Huge".

"What about Centaurs? Do they still exist?"

"Well, the Centaurs will probably fight on your side. But there's no telling what the others will do"

Caspian pauses, deciding whether to ask. "What about Aslan?"

Badger and Nikabrik look at each other.

"How do you know so much about us?"

"Stories".

"Wait, your father told you stories about Narnia?"

"No, my professor–".

The two Narnians look at each other slightly surprised.

Caspian continues, "Listen, I'm sorry. These are not the kind of questions you should be asking. The Prince pushes past them.

Trufflehunter sniffs the air.

"What is it?"

"Human".

"Him?"

Badger looks back, "no! Them!"

Behind them is a troop of Miraz's men with crossbows aimed at the trio.

"Run!"

Arrows narrowly miss Caspian's head. Several arrows whiz by. The Telmarines continue to fire their weapons. Some hit the trees but one hit Trufflehunter. The Narnian fell to the floor with a thud. Nikabrik and Caspian stop. The dwarf goes to save his friend–

"Wait, I'll go".

Caspian runs past Nikabrik and looks up at the oncoming soldiers. The badger lifts Susan's horn.

"Take it. Go! It's more important than I am".

Caspian takes the horn, shoving it into his bag. The Telmarines stand poised with their crossbows. They are about to fire when something in the bushes knocks them to the ground. They continue to fire but are increasingly fearful of the unknown attacker. One by one they fall. Caspian picks up Trufflehunter and continues to run. He hands the badger to Nikabrik.

"Here. Get him out of here".

The final soldier standing looks around at his feet frantically, slicing the bushes with his sword, but is caught by the unknown attacker. The bushes wriggle as the being comes closer to Caspian. The creature knocks Caspian to his feet and stands on top of him.

"Choose your last words carefully, Telmarine".

"You are a mouse".

He sighs, "I was hoping for something a little more original. Pick up your sword".

"Uh, no, thanks".

"Pick it up! I will not fight an unarmed man".

"Which is why I might live longer if I choose not to cross blades with you noble mouse".
