You assume Cap, not surprisingly, is in the gym. He'll know who HYDRA is. You take the elevator below and it takes where you want to be. The elevator comes to a stop; you step off. As you walk closer to Rogers, you barley see Bucky in the dark corner sharpening his sword. He gives you a smile. You also smile
"Cap?" You say, trying to get his attention
"Yes (Y/N)?"
"Who's HYDRA?" You ask
Cap stops dead in his tracks
"Why are you asking?"
"Hill said they put they're blood in you when she was giving me a shot to test if I'm dangerous"
Cap looks sympathetically at Bucky, who slowly nods
"HYDRA is a dangerous group who claim they want to save humanity mankind from themselves, but really it's nothing except cause trouble. They experimented on Bucky"
You curiously look at the other soldier for further information
"I was given the task to kill him. While we were battling, he managed to get my mask off and instantly recognized me. I didn't know my best friend though... no matter how hard I tried to convince myself I knew Cap, HYDRA was always one step ahead"
You stand there wide eyed as he finishes his tale
"That's awful. I'm so sorry James"
"Nobody's fault but theirs" He responds
Steve clenches his fist in guilt
"I should've been there for you..." He mutters
You go to comfort him
"It's okay. Bucky's here now. Let go of the guilt"
Cap relaxes a bit
"Sorry. Thanks" He says
You hesitantly put your hand on his arm. He doesn't seem bothered by the slightest. There's no more tension
