Cap has a plan to sneak instead of barging in so we have a chance of a sneak attack as a strategy to take down Destroyer better. It's late at night so it's more of a stealth, sneak attack. You circle around the top of the metal bunker with a laser Bruce had given you. Yourself and Avengers go in one at a time, piling onto Destroyer, which all of you thought is silly, but it's a plan
Natasha and Bucky struggle to hold onto the robot's arms while Rogers repeatably bashes Destroyer's fire laser like shooter with his shield and you are insanely blasting. Unfortunately, the two couldn't hold on for long, causing the robot to break loose. Everyone quickly reacts by running into corners. Steve starts sprinting in circles looking for something to take down Destroyer once and for all
"Y/N, I need you to memorize his movements!" He orders
You want to say no because you've been suspecting for a while that this irresistible super soldier has been using you for your photographic memory
It's not the time for arguing You think
You observe his moves for a bit
"Cap, he shoots whoever is running in front!" You shout
An opportunity is open. Taking it, Steve jumps off the wall just in time for Destroyer to turn around and plant his shield straight into the robot's laser. He drops to the floor
"That'll take weeks to rebuild" Nat comments
"Yeah. Good job everyone. You too Y/N"
He notices you're not in the bunker
"Y/N?"
Everyone goes outside to find you there, looking off into the distance
"Wow. Right when I trusted you, karma bites me back" You start
"What do you mean..?" Rogers concerns
"You actually don't need me for these missions. You need my memory. You don't see me as human, I'm a machine to you" Then you walk away
Cap's POV:
I stand there in shock. No... it's not true
"Apologize" Bucky says
I nod
