"Montauk? How do I get there?"

The elderly woman tilted her head. "You can get there by either taking a train or the bus. The train is preferably cheaper though. Or you can just drive with your car if you have one instead."

Harriet thanked her before going out of the homely bakery and made her way into the station. She was sorely disappointed when she learned that there were no scheduled trains to get there for the time being as they weren't frequent— except for Fridays, the booking clerk commented— and had to settle for the more expensive bus ride.

She never learned how to properly drive a car. The only thing she knew how to drive was her broom. Not that she can travel using that in foreign lands without getting apprehended by the MACUSA. Besides, she has more than enough money to pay anyway.

It was a long ride. Perhaps it was three hours or so from New York City? Harriet lost track of the time while staring out of the windows.

She arrived at the Montauk Lighthouse Museum first. It had a very fascinating view of the sea and the landscape was beautiful. She stayed there for a few hours, admiring the sights. Harriet went to a beach next and rented a cabin for her to stay the night.

The beach was also very stunning. Harriet liked the feeling of the grains of white sand crunching beneath her feet, the wind breezing to her skin, and the fresh smell of the sea.

It was perfect.

Harriet walked along the shore before she sat on one of the big rocks that resided beside the sea.

She droned out the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore and of the seagulls flying above and stared at the waters intently.

This, she could get used to. Not the stifling air back in Britain where she was the main focus of everyone. Her actions always reported by the newspapers and always getting ridiculed.

Harriet was so deep into her thoughts that she didn't notice someone materializing behind her from thin air.

"A penny for your thoughts, Miss?"

She was slightly startled by the deep voice before she whipped her head to it's direction. Harriet had her fair share of being sneaked upon the Weasley twins that she considered herself immune. Huh. Maybe she was that distracted?

However, Harriet could not help but gape at the power this man exuded. Even with his fairly harmless appearance— a finely tousled jet-black hair, laughing sea-green eyes, Hawaiian shirt, khaki Bermuda shorts, and were those Birkenstocks?— she couldn't help but wonder. Harriet could see the his aura behind him and how thick it flowed in the air. She did not miss the way the scent of the sea became much more intense also.

"C-Come again?"

He looked briefly surprised at her accent. "Ah. An English rose then? Did you somehow fancy a visit here across the continent? Or are you here for something else?"

"A bit of both." She admitted. "I just don't want to go home. It's very... " tiring and does not feel like home at all and she still hasn't been there for the past four years after she graduated. Travelling all around the world with the fortune she had inherited and money earned from being the wizarding world's hero.

"It's alright if you don't want to talk about it." The stranger responded kindly. "Let's start with introductions then. My name is Poseidon. Like the sea god or something."
