SAM'S POV
~FARMHOUSE-DAY~
"Sam? Your head in the game here?" Ruby asks. "I'm good. Let's go." I lie to Ruby. "You okay?" Ruby asks not believing my lie. "I just said I was." I snap as I lie to her again. "Look, I know hand-holding really isn't your thing...but still, Dean was wrong, saying what he said to you." Ruby sincerely says to me as she rests her hand on my shoulder, slightly squeezing it a little in a way of comfort.
"No, he was right to say it. I mean, I don't blame him after what I did." I sigh, looking down at my feet. Dean's words echoing in my mind like it's on repeat.
"Well, after we're done, you guys will patch things up. I mean, you always do." Ruby reassures me but I worry that she is wrong and that things will be different between Dean and I.
"You're talking like I've got an after." I scoff at Ruby. "Don't say that." Ruby says. "I can feel it inside me, Ruby. I've changed...for good. And there's no going back now." I glare at her as I tell her the truth of how I'm actually feeling. "Sam." Her voice cracks. "Look, I know what I gotta do. It's okay, I'm just saying, Dean's better off as far away from me as possible. Anyways. Doesn't matter, let's just get this done with." I say to her, shaking my head as I get in the car.
DEAN'S POV
~BOBBY'S HOUSE-DAY~
"Dean? Dean! You listen to a word Bobby said?" Skye asks, yelling beside me as she keeps snapping her finger infront of my face. I shake my head taken back. "Yeah, I heard you. I'm not calling him." I say to them. "Don't make us get our guns boy." Bobby threatens. I turn around to face him. "We are damn near kickoff for Armageddon, don't you think we got bigger fish at the moment?" I ask him, angrily.
"I know you're pissed. And I'm not making apologies for what he's done, but he's your" "Blood? He's my blood, is that what you are going to say?" I ask cutting Bobby off as I take a few steps toward him but Skye get's between Bobby and I, causing me to stop in my tracks.
"He's your brother. And he's drowning." Skye says. "Guys, I tried to help him, I did. Look what happened." I say, trying to get them to realize that Sam chose a demon over us.
"So try again." Bobby says from behind Skye as he crosses his arms and leans against the door frame that leads into the study. "It's too late." I scoff as I shake my head, realizing that they did not hear a single fucking word I said to them.
Fucking pathetic.
"No, dammit! We gotta face the facts. Sam never wanted part of this family from the start. He hated this life growing up. Ran away to Stanford first chance he got. Now it's like deju vu all over again." I yell as I grab a beer from the fridge, walking towards the table and I sit down.
"Well, I am sick and tired of chasing him. Screw him, he can do what he wants." I groan as I put my elbow on my knee rubbing my face a little with my hand and then through my hair. Then opening my beer, taking a sip.
"You don't mean that." Skye says.
"Yes I do, Skye. Sam's gone. He's gone. I'm not even sure if it's still my brother anymore. If he ever was." I say. "Your stupid, stupid son of a bitch! Well, boo hoo, I am so sorry your feelings are hurt, princess! Are you under the impression that family's supposed to make you feel good?! Bake you an apple pie, maybe? They're supposed to make you miserable! That's why they're family!" She yells at me.
