Katie teleported back to Alaric's house and fell over, feeling drained and useless. "Don't mind me just checking up on Tokali and being drained myself." The girl said in a small amount of humor. Tokali was too weak to even stand and was whimpering in pain.

"I don't know what happened." Alaric said, a bit frantic. "She just collapsed like this." He was having flashbacks to his wife's life slipping away due to sickness. It was not pleasant.

"I think the thing that happened to you also happened to her. Your shield may have drained her of a lot of her magic, seeing how she was caught off guard and left her in a not so good way..." Katie said and rolled onto her side and growled in pain.

"She needs some sleep, that's all. But have fun trying to get her to sleep."

"What do you mean by that?" Alaric asked, confused. Katie said nothing, so Alaric got nervous. He turned to Tokali, who was still crumpled against him. He picked her up, bridal style, and carried her to his own bed. The couch was already taken, after all. He set her down and tucked her in. He turned and was about to leave when he heard a small whine. He turned back and saw Tokali giving him the most pleading look. The same look echoed back from millennia ago. He shook his head. She was not her. But he knew to stay all the same. He sat at the edge of the bed, crossing his legs and waiting.

Tokali tried to stay awake and was very stubborn about going to sleep. Katie called from the other room,

"That is what I mean!" She said in a tired and irritated tone.

"How about shut up?" He said in an undertone, only Tokali hearing it. She would have smiled, but she was too busy trying to not sleep. Alaric didn't know why she didn't want to sleep, but it was annoying him. "Would it help if I sang a lullaby?" He joked.

"I've never really had to sleep. Each time I try, I feel as if I will never wake up." Tokali said weakly as she reached her hand out to Alaric.

"I'll be your anchor then." He said, giving her his hand. "I won't let you go." He bent over and kissed her forehead, which was burning slightly. "I won't let you go." He promised.

Even if Tokali still wanted to stay awake, she closed her eyes and did fall asleep feeling safe and protected. She had a soft and peaceful face as she lightly pulled on Alaric's hand.

Alaric sighed, realizing he couldn't leave that position till she woke up. "I'm gonna be sore in the morning." He thought, chuckling at his stupidity. Then he resigned himself to a long night.

Spencer meanwhile was being cut up. The twins could hardly stop themselves from stopping the operators as they watched through the glass. Spencer was screaming, as he watched massive parts of him being cut off. Muffet had left the room, after being called there by the hospital. She could hear his shouts of pain, as they removed all the damaged parts of his form.

Tomala sat on the ground confused but somehow changed age and helped Katie so she could get some rest and went to sleep herself. If Katie was at the hospital the twins would have to hold her back as she curse in many different languages.

Spencer groaned, unable to move anything. He was simply staring at the TV across the room, as it broadcasted the progress of Trump's trial. His lawyer was not Alaric this time, but some new lawyer from New York. He was pretty good, highlighting the fact that Spencer was a dangerous entity, and that the President was trying to eliminate the threat. But as the prosecution pointed out, he caused massive collateral damage, attacked without provocation in a densely populated area, and enacted an act of war without the consent of the Congress. These were the three main issues that the man was facing, and for once, now his old issues were starting to be addressed, like his suspected pact with Russian hackers in the 2016 election.
