Alaric made a 'shh' motion, and Spencer muted their conversation from all but themselves.

"Man, I love being the 'Admin of my mind'" Spencer thought to himself.

"What's up?" Spencer asked Alaric, knowing that no one else could hear. Alaric cleared his throat and began,

Katie growled lightly as she noticed what her cousin had done and brought in Ra so she could talk to someone.

"Spencer, you know that my daughter was killed by the God's trickery a millennia ago." It was not a question, but Spencer nodded. Alaric nodded as well and continued "She was not my only child. I had another child, another daughter. Her name was Anna. She was seventeen when Ludmilla was killed, and she disappeared shortly after the funeral with her sweetheart. She came back a year later, bruised, battered, pregnant, and alone. The bastard had been abusing her," Alaric's fists clenched, and he grit his teeth. "Anyway, she pleaded to be able to stay with me and the Order. We accepted her, of course. She gave birth to healthy son and all was good. But as the boy grew, he was clearly not normal. He was stronger and faster than even some of our junior knights at age 10. When he reached 16, a monster attacked his mother and himself. My grandson easily killed it with his bare hands. This caused some alarm, and we demanded to know the identity of the father. We had all assumed it was her sweetheart, and she confirmed that he had been the father. But this kind of natural power had one source. Gods." Alaric stopped as Spencer put up a hand.

"This is all well and good, but how is this relevant, and why can't Katie hear this?" Alaric sighed,

"I'm getting to that!" He snapped, "Anyway, we knew the sweetheart had to be a god in disguise, and indeed he had been. The prince of Gods himself. He had fathered my grandson. This was major cause of rage in the Order, as he had essentially raped my daughter. This was the final straw, and the war was started then and there. The war you know of, but when it was over, my grandson settled down in Persia, as he had been fighting there. He met a nice girl, and they had a big family together. I say this," he said, as he saw Spencer open his mouth to interrupt. "Because my Grandson is your great times 101 grandfather." Spencer's jaw dropped, as he looked at his great times 103 grandfather. Then he recovered, and laughed.

"What?!?! Why didn't you say earlier, gramps?" Spencer asked, punching him in the shoulder.

"I didn't realize until today. The fighting style, the fire, the everything. It has my grandson written all over it. Also, your soul has traces of all your ancestors, and once I bothered to look, I saw my grandson's in your soul. Faint, but there." He looked around. "I say this secretly because you are more dangerous than you realize. I am. It your most powerful ancestor. You're directly descended from Amogaru himself." Spencer's eyes widened as he realized this.

Katie wondered what the two were saying and also wondered why she had the sisters in her and now only one. She wondered out loud to Ra and the other could hear what she was saying as she checked Tokali and the goddess of Peace was asleep and resting fine.

"So, what does that mean? Am I a god, or just a human?" Alaric shrugged.

"You are more naturally athletic than most humans, that's clear. You're also very powerful magically, even without training. However, you are mortal, so watch that." Alaric warned. "Anyway, the dangerous part is that gods die hard. If Amogaru is still around, he's likely to want to invade your body. And he was never outright killed he disappeared when the war started to not go his way. And with Katie's actions stirring all these Gods up, I think it's fair to guess that Amogaru might try to possess you at some point, and I want you and the twins to be ready for that." Spencer nodded, and the twins gave words of ascent.
