Spencer looked back at Trump, who looked up at the younger man. His face was calm, but his eyes were full of fear. Spencer started pacing, not looking at the orange man before him,
"Mr. President, we never really finished our discussion. I mentioned to you what I've always craved, yes?" Trump did not respond, and Spencer looked at him. He growled, unsheathed his blade, and flicked it to Trump's throat. "Answer me!" Trump nodded. Spencer smiled, and kept walking like normal. "Yes, I've always wanted power. And that's a problem for kids these days. The world is damn near impossible to conquer, but there is one way to do it. You, Mr. President are the key to this whole plan."
"And just why would I help you?" Trump asked, finding his voice again. Spencer laughed, turning to him slowly.
"Because you fear for your life." Spencer answered. Trump raised an eyebrow.
"What, you're gonna kill me?" Spencer chuckled, and even the twins were surprised by their host's reaction.
"No, you fool. I'm going to save you." Everyone was silent, so Spencer sighed and explained, "Look, the writing's on the wall. You stay in America, and you're toast. But, I could easily arrange to have you removed to another country, say Russia?" Trump looked up in interest. The prospect of saving his own skin interested him greatly.
"So what's the catch?" Trump asked. Spencer grinned, and sheathed his blade. He walked to the other side of the cell to the doorway.
"Just don't die. Or do anything to make my job harder, okay?" Spencer left, and the twins welded the door back together. Vis looked at Trump, answering the President's silent question.
"Look, I wish I knew the guy's plan too." And the two vanished. Down the hall, Spencer's laughter could be heard.
Katie popped up in Alaric's room and dropped off Tokali who was still asleep and teleported away before she could get hurt and then grabbed Tomala and popped up next to Spencer. She noticed the aura he had and her body tensed.
"Hey... Spence... Ever wondered what might happen if I became power hungry?" She asked in a nervous tone as she stayed behind a little.
Spencer didn't even break stride, he just laughed and said simply,
"We'd all die, or have to bow to your wishes. Unless the combined powers of our allies are united against you. But that's unlikely, as many are more loyal to you personally than the world at large." He said it so offhand, like it was a joke.
This only made Katie feel more on edge and slow to where she was in between the two spirits.
"That doesn't make me feel better about this... Would you try to stop me? Even if I had the might of the other two by my side?" She questioned as she lowered her head and started to shiver a little.
"Oh, of course I'd try. I'd use my final resort weapon that I've never gotten to use. But, odds are that, assuming the battle doesn't destroy the world outright, then I would perish, and the world would be yours." The group approached a flight of stairs. Spencer took one step down, and his left leg seared in pain. Spencer dropped to one knee and hissed, tears welling up in his eyes. "Dammit!" he muttered, which the other three could clearly hear.
Katie moved her head so she could catch him. Tomala looked up as she woke up, spooked by the movement. She noticed Spencer and started to tear up as well.
"Spencer... I'm sorry..." She muttered as Katie noticed and sweatdropped.
Spencer shrugged and stood. He wiped his eyes and kept walking, limping on each stair.
