"Maki! Wait up!" Shuichi ran over to Maki, who slowly turned around. She eyed to Kaito, and gave him a small motion to start ahead of them, and he followed that. "Alright, I'll see you in a second, Maki Roll."

Maki raised an eyebrow to Shuichi, "Come to your senses?"

"I- wh-what?" Shuichi started, but then he realized it for a moment, "Oh! Y-yeah, yeah..."

Maki only laughed a bit.

"I.. I wanted to apologize for my behavior to you. I am sorry for my actions, my behavior, and the way I treated you when you came to my room, and said something for my well being. I was being really inconsiderate, and it was even worse for me to mention something that had no cause to our conversation. I apologize for that, too." Shuichi took a deep breath, "Next time, I will really think about your words, you were really looking out for me, Maki. And thank you for that."

"You're not getting a you're welcome or an I forgive you for that. What you did, is in the past." Maki muttered, she looked towards Shuichi and gave a smile, "How long did you rehearse this apology?"

"I didn't rehearse it word for word, just what I wanted to cover for the apology. A simple, I'm sorry, didn't seem right." Shuichi admitted.

"Alright. Whats your plans for drinking?" Maki asked.

Shuichi gave a soft smile, "Well, I am attempting to not drink. I do have to admit, it is a bit hard, but not terrible.."

Maki nodded a bit, "We made you aware before it got too bad."

Shuichi looked down, "And thank you for that."

"Don't thank me. Thank Kokichi for that. Most likely, none of us would have noticed you were drinking. We only noticed you pushing yourself away." Maki motioned with her hand a bit vaguely, and then brought it towards her hair, "Kokichi made us aware. Not all of us, I will say. Mainly me, Kaito, Kaede, and Rantaro. Made us aware of you overworking, drinking, and all that."

"Why wouldn't he talk to me about it first?" Shuichi questioned.

Maki gave a soft shrug, "How do I know? It's Kokichi. He doesn't like to seem like he cares for others, if I had to guess. Doesn't like to seem weak and vulnerable."

Shuichi laughed softly.

"I have to catch up with Kaito. We have plans today. Bye, Shuichi, good luck with it all." Maki turned her body and started to walk down the hall.

Shuichi waved a bit, and turned back around to head towards his room again.

Kokichi caring..

It still seems so weird to think about.

But maybe it really was possible.

Maybe Kokichi did care all along.

But why would he lie about it during The Killing Game?

Why would he push everyone away then?

Kokichi stated he never cared about anyone in The Killing Game.

Maybe...

Maybe Maki was right.

He didn't like to seem weak, and vulnerable.

Kokichi didn't like to seem like he genuinely did care about people.

Kokichi most likely was afraid of being hurt from others.

Maybe during The Killing Game,

Kokichi was being smart by acting that way.

Shuichi made a mental note to not underestimate Kokichi.

Hmm advice for today, something I really needed to hear myself!

You can't fix all your issues.

Sometimes, there will be no solution whatsoever, to the most complicated, or even simple problems. 

The only thing you have to do, is dive in and through those issues.

But in the end, when you come back up- when the issues leave, you are stronger.

Just keep note; not all issues are fixable.
