"Yooo! Kokichi joins us!" Kaito called out, with a large laugh.

Kokichi rolled his eyes. "The one and only. It took me a bit to come, I'm soo sorry!"

"What took you so long to join?" Maki questioned.

"I couldn't walk. Shumai fucked me s- Wait, where is he?"

"Shuichi?" Kaede raised an eyebrow.

"No, the milkman. Yes Shuichi! Where is he?" Kokichi looked around the table and didn't see him there whatsoever.

"Well. He's at work." Rantaro said, with a mouthful of food.

"Work? You're telling me the ultimate Detective got a job?"

"No, he got killed. What do you think Kokichi?" Rantaro pushed back.

"Touché." Kokichi sat down at a seat, and looked at the crowd.

Gonta and Miu.

Their eyes met, and Kokichi could feel everything going downhill already.

"So..." Kokichi started. The table being silent was horrible.

"Let me start with, if anyone brings this moment back up, im killing you."

This gained everyone's attention.

"Iruma, and Gokuhara. Listen up, because the leader will say it once and only once." Kokichi took a deep breath and went to a whisper. "And I'm too much of a pussy to say it alone with you two." He raised his voice back up. "I'm super sorry. I can't take back my actions, but they haunt me every single night. I'm really sorry. Okay?"

Kirumi and Rantaro gave a smile towards Kokichi and his confidence.

Miu snickered.

"Gonta already forgave you!" Gonta stated.

Miu kept laughing. "T-the little gremlin actually apologized! That's fucking great!"

"Oh shut up!" Kokichi threatened.

The group started to laugh, and Kokichi joined them. In a way, it felt comforting.

Things calmed down for a moment.

"Hey, Kokichi, Shuichi will be back in an hour!"

Kokichi smiled. "Can't wait to see him."
