"That was amazing Deku" Uraraka yelled as Midoriya got back to the stands "I knew you and Riolu were strong but I never thought you'd be this strong"

Midoriya scratched the back of his head as Riolu crossed his arms and proudly smirked at the compliments "T-Thanks Uraraka"

"Seriously though that strange power you two can use what is it you gotta tell me" Uraraka shook Midoriya's shoulders

"Well I actually have a theory, I think it's-"

"AND CORVASQUIRE IS UNABLE TO BATTLE, SO THE VICTORY GOES TO TODOROKI" Present Mic interrupts over the intercom

"Oh wow that was fast" Uraraka says

"Hey shouldn't you be in the waiting room I think you're up next" Midoriya said

Uraraka quickly stood up "Oh right I'll see ya later then" she ran off to the waiting room

As Midoriya watched her run off he felt a hand touch his shoulder, turning around he saw the large figure of All Might standing behind him

"Young Midoriya, I would like to speak to you for a bit come with me please" The Champion said

Midoriya followed him out of the stands as Todoroki narrowed his eyes at the sight "Hmmm"

The two soon reached an unused waiting room "Yes, All Might what did you want to talk about?" Midoriya asked

"It's about that power you demonstrated, I'm sure you've realized that it's very similar to what me and my Blaziken can do"

Midoriya nodded

"Listen closely, The ability you and I share is called Battle Bond, it is an immense power up that was discovered hundreds of years ago by a trainer and his Greninja, since then many other trainers have reported a boost in power similar to that of battle bond but none had been able to reach the level of that trainer a hundred years ago, that was until my master, a trainer by the name of Nana Shimura and her partner were able to achieve Battle Bonds 100% power causing her Pokemon to change forms" All Might smiled as he remembered his master

"That sounds amazing" Midoriya had stars in his eyes

"It is, it truly is but, there is a price to pay for such power" All Might's face darkened "You see Battle Bond is achieved by forming a strong connection between trainer and Pokemon, this connection does more than just increase power, have you ever wondered why you are so tired after using that power despite the fact that Riolu is the one doing all the work?" All Might asked

Midoriya and Riolu both nodded

"While fully synchronized the trainer will share in their partners pain, you would feel all of the hits Riolu takes, neither of you have reached that level yet thankfully, however Nana did and during a fight against an evil trainer her and her partner took too much damage, and they both perished, years later I challenged that evil trainer as well and while I didn't die me and Blaziken were badly injured, we can't risk using Battle Bond at full strength anymore or we may not be able to recover" All Might put a hand on his side where is injury was "And so I wish to train you to use that power safely so you don't risk yourself in battle"

Midoriya looked down at his partner who was sitting beside him, they both nodded "Alright, I accept your offer"

Uraraka face palmed "Does he have to make up a new nickname for every match"
