Chapter 23: Surprise Party

Sherwin's POV

Wow...today is my birthday, 14 years of age, I'm starting to feel like a grown up.

High School is next year and I hope it'll be just like High School musical or mean girls. Oh! Or 10 things I hate about you. Ugh..I love that movie, I had such a big crush on Heath Ledger.

Shh...don't tell Jonathan.

I don't know what I want to do on my Birthday, but my mom thought of taking me and Jonathan to a Christmas lights festival.

To be honest its fun, we get hot cocoa, cookies, look around the beautiful lights. It truly is magical. I sometimes feel like Im in a disney movie.

//just writing that makes me wanna go to Disney land. When this whole pandemic is over. Me and my fam will go. I wanna hug Mickey Mouse for comfort ;-; who agrees?

So that's the plan for tonight. Right now I had a very nice breakfast, had strawberry waffles made by Charles.

Until I got a message from Jonathan.

Ooh a surprise? How fun!

Right now I am organizing my room a bit, want to look more neat and less messy. Sometimes Charles cat can put her paws on the carpet after the litter box. Its pretty gross.

A few minutes later, I can hear Jonathan's voice coming from downstairs. I went to change my clothes and put on something cute and comfy, even though its almost winter...but its good though.

"Hey chica." Jonathan entered the room, holding a big present.

Oh my, I feel like he's spoiling me on purpose.

"Aww Jonathan, you shouldn't have." I gave him a sweet kiss on the nose.

"I want to, plus its your dream gift."
Jonathan placed the present on the bed "go on open it!" He gave me an exciting smile.

I went to open it up. At first I thought it was something big...

But I saw a bowl....a bowl for an animal.

Although there's more, I see a little green collar with a little bell on it.

I feel like my heart popping out again....

d-did he really?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?

"J-Jonathan?" I gulps "a-am I your-"

"Wait what? No no no that's nothing like that Sherbert! Id rather treat you like a prince than a cat boy."

"Well that's not all. Look under the blanket."

I peaked in the box and see something under.

I gently pulled the blanket away and saw the most surprising thing I have ever seen through my eyes....

My heart popped out, seeing the most adorable kitten sleeping.

I began to cry with happiness and hugged my boo.

"Babe. Its beautiful!!" I said while sobbing.

"Its a baby girl, you can name her anything."

I sobbed like a proud mother watching her own child walking for the first time.

I never thought of any names for pets, I didn't wanna be too cliche with edgy names.

But looking at her, looked like a cute little snow leopard.

"Arwen." I said to myself.

Jonathan looked at me with a confused look. "Huh?"

"Arwen, her name will be Arwen."

He chuckles by the cuteness of my face and sees the little kitten wake up from her nap.

Oh my god she's awake!!!

"Aww hey Arwen."

The kitten looked up at the two boys, stretching her paws up from her nap, got up and reaches for Sherwin.

"I feel like were parents!" Sherwin said while continuing to cry.

He slowly picks up Arwen, holding her close to his chest.

"You look so cute when you hold her." Jonathan said while nuzzling his lovers shoulder.

"Happy Birthday Sherbert." He said once more.

Sherwin giggles and kissed his cheek.

They both put on the collar on Arwen and fed her a little bit of kibble on her little bowl. And went to grab water for beverage.

"She's beautiful." Sherwin said while gently petting her.

"She is, like you." Jonathan teased and held his hand.

By the end of all. Sherwin and Jonathan went to the Lights Festival the next day. Due to Sherwin's obsession with his new kitten.

It was a birthday wish after all.
