The next day Gaius stands in the council chambers with the King and Prince, a vile of contaminated water containing a withered flower placed on the table. The Prince reaches forward and barley has a chance to graze the bottle before Gaius warns him,

" Don't touch it. I had this in the water for no more than a few hours." The Prince quickly jerks back.

" Where's the water from?" Uther asks staring at the vial warily.

" The pump from where the people take their daily supply." Gaius informs the King.

" We may have to stop the people from using it." The Prince concludes.

" The city cannot survive without water." Gaius reminds him.

" We have to find this sorcerer!" The King shouts pacing agitated fixing his son with a cold stare.

" I don't believe that they're inside Camelot." The Prince tells the King with a cowed bow of his head.

" Then extend the search to the villages!" The king demands, panic evident in his voice.

" We've started, but I can't search the entire kingdom." The Prince tries desperately the to make the King see sense.

" And I can't stand by and watch our people dying." Uther snaps. The Princes bows his head biting his tongue and leaves the chambers quickly ever the perfect solider.

That same day Merlyn was passing by the Lady Morgana's chambers and noticed Gwen humming while doing her Lady's chores. Merlyn approached the door and gave it a polite knock smiling at the much happier servant.

" Good morning Gwen. How's your father? Is he feeling better?"

" Yeah, it's incredible. It's a miracle." Gwen beamed.

" His skin's clear, back to normal?" Merlyn queried just to be sure.

" Yes." Gwen replied.

" Great! That's wonderful." Merlyn smiled secretly to herself.

" You don't seem surprised." Gwen gave Merlyn a suspicious look and Merlyn though up a plausible excuse.

" No, no, I am. It's a miracle." Merlyn stumbled.

" But how did you know he was well?" Gwen pushed watching her cautiously.

" Er... because you're smiling." Merlyn offered.

" That's really weird because I haven't told anyone, but you know. How could you know?" Merlyn had to give it to Gwen for her persistence, she was almost as bad her son's when they wanted something.

" Yeah. Alright. You finally found out, I'll tell you. (swallows)I'm psychic." Merlyn whispers in close with a cheesy grin.

" No, you're not." Gwen giggled at that.
