Morgana had always been able to see through the King's lies ever since she was a child, where Arthur would worship him, Morgana felt bitter toward him especially after her father Gorlois was killed because Uther didn't send the reinforcements he'd promised. Morgana had already lost her mother before she could remember her and then she lost her father and was brought into the Pendragon household and was treated like a Princess, this would have been incredible if she had not been able to see through the King to the broken sad man beneath who treated his own son like a mindless soldier rather than a man who had his own vices and virtues. Over the years the more executions Morgana witnessed of innocent people the colder her heart became toward the king and now that he had almost killed Gwen's father without letting him defend himself; she felt nothing but a blind hatred for Uther that was slowly consuming her soul.
Morgana steeled herself as she began the first phase of her plan to kill the King and free Camelot from the tyrant so that Arthur's reign could begin and she could be free. Morgana smiles politely at the guard as he opens the door to the Council Chambers where the King sits alone in the dimly lit room eating his dinner.
Uther lifts his head and watches Morgana indifferently while she plasters a fake smile on her ruby-red lips. "I didn't expect to see you. You wish to say something?"
"I came to apologise, My Lord." Morgana replies, her voice light.
"Good." Uther grunts before focusing back on his meal and Morgana stiffens; the smile on her face freezing while she glared at the King.
"I didn't mean to rile you. I thought only of Gwen. The poor girl is all alone in the world." Morgana spoke truthfully her voice filled with sorrow.
Uther eyed her for a moment. "It was not my intention to hurt your maid."
"I know. But now she suffers, and I know how she must suffer." Morgana sighed playing the king right into her hands.
"Morgana..." Uther whispered placing his utensils down to focus on her, his eyes filled with pity.
"I only meant, I know what it's like to lose a father." She murmured letting her eyes fill with tears.
"That was a terrible day. Your father was a great friend. I had no part in his death." Uther stated somewhat coldly and Morgana snapped.
"You sent him into battle. You promised him reinforcements and then gave him none. You sent him to his death." She snarled as she let the tears fall and Uther suddenly looked uncomfortable.
"That is not true. It was never my intention." He told her firmly and Morgana laughed in shock before focusing her steely gaze on the King.
"But it happened! And it keeps on happening." She shrieked before turning away.
"Morgana!" Uther barks halting her steps.
"I'm sorry, My Lord." She replies without emotion before she continues to the door, an evil smirk gracing her angelic features.

The events of the previous night were playing over and over again in Merlyn's mind as she sat in the Physicians chambers picking at her lunch, the twins sat across from her in much the same state and Gaius watched them worriedly from his place at the workbench.
Gaius is startled when suddenly Meryn speaks without warning nearly causing him to drop a vial he had been studying. "Do you think Uther's a good king?" Merlyn asked a little distant.
"Sorry?" Gaius said turning to where Merlyn was leaning on her palm looking at him.
"Uther. Do you think he's good for the kingdom?"
