Metroid: Ascendance

The Secret Plot.

Anthony had kept himself busy while Samus went off on her own.  Ontop of trying to survive he was also downloading data from any servers he could find. Once he escaped he knew society would have to know about the atrocities that happened here. They had to know how dangerous the organisation known as the galactic federation had become and the crimes that were done here had to be stopped before they got any worse. 

He made his way to the main sector , he was going to try to find a way to upload the info online. Suddenly from a balcony up above , about a hundred or so federation soldiers stormed into the station! Some descended from the ceiling and swarmed Anthony , backing him up against a wall.  A soldier in blue armour walked up to him . Blue was the mark of a commanding officer .  He motioned to his men to lower their weapons but before he could speak an explosion ripped through a nearby wall and Samus leapt forth !  The soldiers aimed at her but she already had her cannon pointed at the commander .

The commander took his helmet off and Samus flung him to ground with the grapple beam and once again had her cannon pressed against his face.

"You have a lot of explaining to do Adam! And I don't have a lot of patience so start talking now!!"

"Commander Malkovich everything that has happened here is illegal and your men are the ones that have come to clean up. This doesn't bode well for you sir"

"Anthony you weren't meant to see any of this. Most of this facility is highly classified... and Samus I'm completely speechless what happened after SR388?"

"Don't play coy with me Adam.  The federation kept me hostage here for months and have created Bioweapons from my own armour. You were one of the few that was always interested in my armour so I'm sure you'll understand if I'm suspicious. Especially when I find that you have metroids in here!"

"Metroids?!" Anthony's eyes widened

"Samus I had nothing to do with this directly. I was only placed on a task force incase something went wrong. I only found out about what really happened here when I was ordered to move out.  I was one of the ones that wanted the metroids extinct so why would I bring them back ?. Look I'll tell you everything I know but I'm speaking the truth when I say had no involvement with your kidnapping or the recreation of metroids"

She narrowed her eyes and Adam sighed.

"The federation ordered an assault on the pirate homeworld. We took them by surprise and took control of a large area of land. From there Alpha station was built and space pirate prisoners were brought here. The federation knew they couldn't hold onto the stronghold here forever so they began developing Bioweapons to prepare for the inevitable pirate attack.  The nightmare was built using weapons taken from the metroid suit and was intended to be an Ai that would act on the battlefield on our behalf. Like a weaponised Aurora unit.  I didn't know metroids existed here and I don't approve but I bet they were developed under the idea that they could be controlled and used against the pirates the same way they were once used against us "

She lowered her cannon and began walking away.

"If you get in my way I won't hesitate to disarm you and your soldiers."

Anthony also stepped away as Adam got to his feet.  They all began splitting in different directions and Adam ordered them to kill any pirates they found.

- In c wing Samus and Anthony soon found the metroid suit.  It hung suspended behind a window with many yellow wires attached to it. A terminal lay in front of the window and beside it a booth that looked like It was for extracting or fusing weapons. Samus scanned the terminal .

"Project:  S.Y.L.U.X - System Ytterbium Light unification Xenotech.   The main goal of this project is to recreate the Chozo armour of Samus Aran and to be able to integrate as much as possible into the federation army.  1,000 fully functional suits are expected to be created by the end of the year"

Anthony and Samus looked at eachother . They both knew the nightmare was only the first step in this technological ascension the federation had planned . 

"What now!"

"I know how to stop this"

With that Samus stepped into the booth and it closed around her.

"Wait what are you doing!"

4 poles extended down and beamed small lasers inside the booth. Lights flashed and the  sound of shifting metal filled the air. The booth opened as several floating metal rings descended to the ground.  Samus stepped out of the booth except now she was completely different.

Her armour was a lot thinner and moulded to her body shape ,it was blue and yellow . Her helmet was pink and her visor looked more jagged .  4 blades now lined each of her arms and her arm cannon looked more sleek.

"Fusion suit acquired . The merging of federation and chozo tech has given you a number of new abilities aswell as a new beam weapon. The nova beam can blast through most materials , this makes it the most powerful beam weapon in your arsenal ."

Samus looked at herself as the suit continued to update itself.

"Hyper ball acquired.  In morph ball you now have the ability to shoot focused amounts of electricity at a target or multiple targets.

"Gauntlets acquired. You can now eject 8 blades from your arms that operate on their own during battle"

"Now that's what I call an upgrade!"  Anthony chuckled .

"Well we've found what's needed to be able to defeat the nightmare. Now we just need to make sure this tech never makes its way into federation hands."  Samus charged up the nova beam and its green light rippled through her cannon. She let the shot rip and it tore the glass and blasted the metroid suit into pieces.

A group of federation soldiers ran toward her but they were halted when a door behind them opened and someone shot their way though. A scythe slashed through the soldiers and the figure stepped forth It was Weavel !  His lower body was a bright silver and it seemed like he had fused parts of a federation power suit to himself in order to walk.

Samus and Anthony watched as weavel picked up a missile cannon and blasted a hole in the wall with it. He threw it to the ground and sprinted into the hole but before he made it through he stopped and turned to look at Samus.

"We will meet again and I will make you suffer for what you did to me. But now is not the time or place"

With that he turned and vanished from sight as he escaped , leaving the two of them there to figure out what to do next.
