PART TWO ACT ONE
EXT. TOAD TOWN PLAZA - AFTERNOON
Toads work together to clean up. They brush away debris, fix their buildings, and have scaffolding around Peach's statue.
Two WORKER TOADs chip away at repairing this stone idol.
WORKER TOAD 1
Boy oh boy, how happy do you think our princess will be to see her statue all patched up by us?
Captain soars down to them from the sky out of their vision.
WORKER TOAD 2
I don't think she even knew it was broken.
WORKER TOAD 1
Hey you think they have a Peach statue in Koopa Village?
WORKER TOAD 2
Why do you care about what koop-?
Captain lands hard in the middle of the statue and completely breaks it. The pieces and scaffolding shatter to the ground.
Captain and the worker toads cough up dust and slowly get out of the rubble. All the toads around voice their anger.
CAPTAIN
Oh please just leave me alone.
WORKER TOAD 1
You broke the Peach statue! You working for the koopas?
CAPTAIN
I didn't do anything: I was thrown out of a castle by a-
A DK roar can be heard far in the distance. Toads around the area whimper and scatter in fear.
WORKER TOAD 2
You broke the statue AND you got on DK's bad side? You got a death wish or something?
CAPTAIN
I wish to get on no one's good or bad side. I just want to be alone.
WORKER TOAD 1
Well okay then bye!
Those two are the last ones out. Cap looks at the empty plaza and takes a calm breath with just himself.
DK soars from a roof above and targets Cap.
He quickly rolls out of the way, dodges a counter, but gets hit hard by DK's third bunch. He skids across the plaza.
He gets up and the two have a showdown.
CAPTAIN
What is your problem with me?
DK
You stand against Donkey Kong friends. You enemy I have to bash.
CAPTAIN
Or: counter offer...
DK waits for the offer...and Captain scurries away into the town. He roars again and charges after him.
EXT. CASTLE ENTRANCE - AFTERNOON
Daisy runs across the drawbridge to get some space.
The others behind her are both fighting against the other side and moving out of the castle.
She stops when she's off the bridge and hucks an earring back. It soars, hits their opponents, and comes back.
This gives the fighting Luigi, Mario, and Peach some room. They strike back. Peach knocks Kirby off the bridge.
He looks to fall to the water, but floats underneath and comes back around with another sword throw slam.
Toad still trails this brawl with some soldiers. He tells them to hold back while watching Mario get beat by Fox.
DAISY
Toad if you want to unleash those toy soldiers at anytime you're more than welcome to!
MARIO
Don't do it!
