Xavier frowns at me. "So your old man doesn't want you to leave the mansion for a month?"

"Apparently."

He flops into the bed, landing on my stomach. "That's no fun," he complains. "What about your weekly visit to Sebastian?"

I close my eyes and breathe deeply. "Guess he'll have to wait a month for his coffee then."

Xavier turns and puts his chin on my stomach. "Do you want me to go for you?" he asks, his chin tickling me as he speaks.

I laugh softly and push him off, opening my eyes. "If you go, you're only going to give him an empty coffee cup."

He pouts. "I'll save him a drop or two."

"Don't go," I say.

Xavier grins at me. "Well, my coffee ran out not too long ago, soo--"

"Already?" I interrupt. "I thought you just bought that yesterday."

He shrugs. "I ran out, so I'm gonna go to the store and buy some more. I'll drop some by Sebastian's, okay?"

I roll my eyes. "You know, that's going to be the fifth time you came to the coffee shop in about three days! don't they get annoyed?"

Xavier sticks out his lower lip. "You're so mean! Everybody loves me!" he jumps up and runs for the door. As he opens it, he looks back at me seriously and asks:

"Even you, right?"
