It's like a warm embrace, softer than a cloud yet strong. It holds me tight. I feel like I'm in the pool, just floating around. It's quiet but comfortably so. Even though I try to think there's just a nice emptiness. I don't know where I am, but it's nice here. No time or space exists here. I can comfortably exist forever with the nothingness.
A slight tingle surges through my body. That's strange. I shouldn't be able to feel anything. The calm returns for a while until the tingle returns, a little stronger this time. I start becoming aware of my own heavy body. What's happening? Why can I feel?
My body jolts for a short second before becoming still again. Far, far away there's a sound of someone shouting. The emptiness begins to disappear. I realize there's something pulling me away from it.
Another jolt makes my eyes fly open with a gasp. I hear my heart beating in my ears and that in itself is very worrying to me. I thought I died. My eyes dart around to try and make sense of the situation and I see three unknown people staring down at me with excited faces. From the way they're dressed they must be nurses or something of the sort. There's sound of traffic and sirens and my brain finally connects the dots. I'm in an ambulance.
"He's alive!" one of the nurses shouts with joy.
The other two cheer while I stare at them. I can't do much else. I'm a bit intimidated actually. There'a lot going on here. I must be in shock. One nurse pats my head with a gentle smile.
"Don't worry, buddy. We got you! You're gonna be just fine."

At the hospital I get surrounded by even more people trying to check up on me. They ask me questions about this and that, all while doing tests on just about everything. I can barely even answer them. I'm so confused. I don't know what happened really.
"Ma'am, excuse me," I say to one of the nurses currently trying to take a blood test. "Why am I here exactly? How long was I gone for?"
"You had a sudden cardiac arrest. Very unusual for someone your age. Your heart stopped beating and you were brought back using a defibrillator. It sends an electrical shock through the heart to encourage it to start working again. Thankfully it worked out for you. I heard you were only unconscious for a couple minutes. The ambulance arrived quickly and you have your friends to thank as well. They acted fast and did CPR until the professionals could take over."
"I-I see. Are they here? My friends?"
She smiles at me.
"They're all waiting right outside for you. I'll let them in once we're done and have made sure you're stable."
I can only imagine the chaos that will unfold when they get in here. I don't even want to think about it. It's what stressed me out in the first place. My heart must've been so exhausted from fighting that alpha and then realizing that I'd gotten caught. It just gave up on me. Don't want to risk it happening again.
"Ma'am, could you perhaps only let one of them in?" I say. "I'm still a little overwhelmed."
"Of course. Who should I call for?"
Seokjin. Seokjin. Seokjin. Seokjin.
"Um, maybe... Namjoon-hyung?"
"Alright. I will do that."
She continues with her work and I relax in the bed. I chickened out. I want to see Seokjin but if we get into an argument or something now then there's no telling if I can be saved again. I'll talk to Namjoon first. He's probably the calmest one right now.
