Chapter 5 - Journey

You walked along side a river. It had been a few days and you hadn't bumped into anyone else. You stopped and saw a school of fish. You smile and licked your lips. You rolled your kimono up at the sleeves and walked in and waited for them to get closer. You saw one come close and you grabbed it but slipped on the rocks. You fell in and got soaked but held onto the fish. You sat up and smiled.

"I got it!" You said and bit the fish, ripping a bit of the meat and ate it while still in the river. You knew it was ok to eat it raw because you tested it out before when traveling with Inuyasha. You finished it and licked your fingers before you stood. You took a step forward but saw three men.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" One asked. You looked at him. the all wore armor and had swords. You could smell blood and death on them. They have killed before and would kill again.

"Looks to be a cat demon." The other said. You tail flicked a bit at that.

"And a cute one at that." The third one said. You didn't move from the river, afraid of them. The first guy held out his hand.

"Come out of the river little demon. your soaking wet. Don't want you to catch as cold now do we." He said. You looked at your kimono and saw that it was sticking to you and showing off your curves. You then looked back at them but didn't say anything. They were planning something and you knew it. The guy gave a glare.

"Grab her." He said and your eyes became wide as the two others ran over and grabbed you. You tried to fight and put up a barrier but with them grabbing you it went around them.

"Looks like this demon can put up a shield. Lets see is she can while knocked out." The first guy said. You struggled and lost your footing, slipping. You brought them down also but they got up after and held on tight, pulled you from the river.

"No! Let me go!" You screamed and felt pain in your cheek. You stopped and looked at the guy. You saw he was making a fist. He had punched you.

"Shut her up." The first guy said and you felt something go into your mouth. You tasted cloth and blood. You struggled more and saw the first guy removing his armor.

"Keep her from moving to much." He said and walked up, you had tears in your eyes but he stops before he get closer and blood comes from his mouth. You watched as a hand comes out of his stomach. The other guys let out a scream and let you go, running as the first guy fell and you saw a man that looked like Inuyasha but taller and had markings on his face. You removed the thing from your mouth and spat, trying to remove the taste from your mouth.

"T-Thank you." You said. He looked at you before he turned.

"Leave before I kill you also." He said and began to walk. Your ears flattened and you stood and ran after him.

"Wait, please. I'm scared. They might.." You started but the man turned and reached for you. You put up a barrier and you have tears as your ears flatten against your hair again. He lowers his hand.

"I do not need a spy for Naraku fallowing me. Your barriers mean nothing to me. Leave." He says. You whimper and nod.

"O-OK." You said. He then turns and you watched him leave. You turned and walked back to the river. You saw the dead man and reached, grabbing his money pouch. It could help you. Sango did teach you about money. You then moved and ran from the river. You slowed to a walk and continued till you found a big rock and smiled, laying on it. It was warm and would dry your kimono faster then walking in it. you let out a purr, putting up a barrier and closed your eyes to rest for a bit. You had a stressful day.
