[ ❝ 'Cause everybody makes it   ]

The sun shone through the curtains, blinding Y/n's eyes even when they were closed. Lifting her head slightly and opening her sleepy eyes, she suddenly widened them when she saw Sunwoo in front of her. His jet-black hair cascaded over his peaceful face.

She was slightly panicked, looking down at the clothes that she wore the night before. Sighing in relief that they were left untouched, she looked back at the sleeping boy.

Without thinking, she slowly lifted her hand, extending it to the sleeping boy's face as she brushed strands of hair from his cheeks. Pulling her hand away and getting out of the bed. She went to the bathroom, grabbing some clothes with her.

Sunwoo's eyes slightly opened, seeing if she left, and sighed, sitting up and stretching, hands landing harshly on the bed. His face brightened when he could still distantly feel her hand brush his cheek. Chuckling filled the room, his mind spinning with a million thoughts. A palm attached to his forehead as if he could hide his wild blush with his arm.

"Oh, you're awake?"

Sunwoo looked up and his face turned into an even darker red, looking Y/n up and down. Her black combat boots were tied, the strings tucked into the shoe, along with her blue jeans. She must have been wearing four layers, the outside layer being a winter coat from the rack downstairs. Her hands were covered with wool mittens, the fingertips exposed as she put one hand in her jacket pocket. A gun holster and a small knife were strapped to her legs, though what caught his eye the most was her high ponytail, a few side bangs loosely hanging out.

He never imagined what Y/n looked like with her hair up, and he wasn't expecting to be so flustered about it.

"We should head down, my brother's probably making breakfast right now." Y/n awkwardly looked away, "Let's go."

The pair walked down the stairs after Sunwoo had gotten ready, the others scattered everywhere. Since Donghyun and Hangyeol took one of the cars, 9 of them remained. Y/n was still hung up on that, how could they betray them like that? Especially when they can't even fend for themselves, they didn't bring any weapons with them. Cocky bastards.

"Oh, Y/n! I'm making breakfast, you should sit down." Jacob waved at her, gesturing to the dining table behind him.

"What are you making?" Sunwoo asked, following Y/n to the dining table.

"This 'All Day Breakfast' canned food, it's all we have, but hey, at least we have ramen to eat for lunch and dinner," Jacob mentioned, making Y/n groan.

"But that'll only last us a week, there's hardly any food here to begin with and none of us know how to hunt..." Y/n sighed.

"I may not know how to hunt, but I have this book that talks about the different types of edible plants out here, I found it in the basement." Jisoo popped in from the stairs entrance.

"Thank you Jisoo, that's good enough." Y/n smiled tiredly. Her mind wandered.

Suddenly the image of her mother popped into her head.

She tried not to make it obvious she missed her parents, but after everything, she needed them the most right now. She dug out her phone from her pocket and tapped on the messaging app.
