"What did you have for breakfast today" I as Meredith as we walk inside. She looks at me. "Cold pizza." We both laugh. "Is he awake," I ask about the patient. "Even better." She replies. He's doing good. He can still see. Pupils are good. "Perfect." I say. Meredith notifies me that the patient does gm have a tumor as she suspected. I go back in to notify them. I tell them the risks. I feel Meredith staring. She seems upset. The patient and his wife discuss after i leave. They call me back inside. They want me to cut it out. So i will. I tell Meredith. I look over and see Meredith and The wife speaking. Meredith is trying to convince her husband not to have the surgery. I take her back to her husband and speak the Meredith. "What's wrong with you. There's so much going through her head you can't do that." I say. I don't want to be harsh but this was bad. "I'm sorry." She says. I walk away. I know she didn't mean harm. I wonder what caused her to say that. I head home and try to forget. The next morning I see Meredith isn't here for her rounds. I'm curious. Then i see her. "Hey! Where were you?" Shes walking fast. "Heart surgery." Nice. I'm proud of her. George pops in. She gets in the elevator and I finish my salad. I don't see her for a while. The day goes on. Causally. Just patients. Nothing too serious. Then i de shed. we speak for a few about a patient. "Let me take you to dinner tonight." She looks at me "No." Expected. "Oh come on forget about the party me and you can be alone somewhere else. Thanks for not inviting me by the way i'm so honored." I say. "Dinner think about it." I walk away before she can say no again. She got paged anyone. I see Meredith on her way out. Probably going to the party. Meanwhile, i have to do heart surgery. Successful. I drive to Merediths house to see her dancing outside. Drunk. "You know in some states you can get aressted for that." I joke. She laughs. As she comes closer i can definitely tell she's been drinking. Tequila. She kisses me. Finally. I've been waiting for this. "Take me for a ride Derek." We get in the car. After a little bit. Bailey knocks on the window. " You mind moving this tail wagon i'm blocked in." Crap. Now what. I bring Meredith inside and head home.
